WWE takes over New Orleans for Money in the Bank 2026.
After a long break post-SummerSlam in early August, WWE PLE returns with Money in the Bank 2026. The 2026 edition of the PLE is set for Saturday, October 10 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Initially scheduled for Sunday, September 6, the PLE will feature WWE stars from both Raw and SmackDown and will mark the first Money in the Bank event to be held in October, as well as the first to take place after SummerSlam.
As usual, the event will center around the Money in the Bank ladder matches, where multiple competitors battle to retrieve a briefcase containing a contract that guarantees the respective winners a championship match of their choice at any time over the following year. Let us now take a look at the matches announced for the show.

The participants in the two ladder matches are decided via triple threat qualifying matches, which kicked off on the September 7 edition of Monday Night Raw from the Legacy Arena at the BJCC in Birmingham, Alabama.
In the men’s MITB ladder match, Bron Breakker was the first to qualify, followed by Je’Von Evans on the September 14 edition of Raw. Four spots are now left in the match, which will be filled in the coming weeks before MITB.
On the other hand, in the women’s MITB ladder match, Sol Ruca qualified first, followed by Lola Vice, who picked up her first win in her main roster debut on September 14 to secure the second spot. Four spots remain open in the match and will be filled in the coming weeks before MITB.
Roman Reigns defeated Penta to retain the World Heavyweight Title in Mexico City in the main event. After the main event, the show went off the air, but in a digital exclusive, it was revealed that LA Knight confronted Reigns after the match and took him down via a BFT.
Reigns responded by cutting a promo posted on his X handle, where he announced that he will be facing Knight at MITB with the World title on the line.
“I’m sick and tired of it, all these beggars. You want it? If he wants it, he can get it, Money in the Bank! New Orleans! Down south, I’m gonna whoop his bi*ch a*s!”
This article will be updated once more matches are announced for MITB in the coming weeks.
