All matches & segments announced for WWE SmackDown (April 18, 2025): John Cena returns, Andre the Gaint Battle Royal & more

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal returns next week on SmackDown!

The April 11 episode of Friday Night SmackDown emanated from the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. The show further shaped the WrestleMania 41 card as stars collided ahead of their bouts at the ‘Grandest Stage’ in Las Vegas next week.

The team of Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria along with Bayley triumphed over the five teams to win the Women’s Gauntlet match. They will now battle the Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team title at the grandest stage on Sunday, April 19.

The face-off between Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre ended in chaos as they brawled with McIntyre landing the final blow as he took out Priest with a Future Shock DDT face-first into the steel steps.

Rey Fenix pinned Berto in a singles match to keep his undefeated streak while Zelina Vega defeated Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green in a singles match via count-out as Green was busy arguing with Joe Tessitore in the commentary booth.

Furthermore, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton pinned Roxanne Perez in a singles match. Charlotte Flair ambushed Stratton after the match as Wade Barrett intervened and talked some sense into Flair who backed off.

In the main event of the show, LA Knight and Randy Orton defeated the team of Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga. However, Jacob Fatu attacked Knight after the match and landed two moonsaults as he flaunted with the title while officials checked on Knight.

During the 04/11 show, the promotion announced multiple matches and segments for the April 18 episode of SmackDown, which will serve as the go-home show for the WrestleMania 41 PLE. The 04/18 show of the Blue brand is set to emanate from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The go-home show of Friday Night SmackDown will feature the return of John Cena ahead of his clash against Cody Rhodes where the Undisputed WWE title hangs in the balance. WWE has also announced the return of Andre The Giant Battle Royal, as per tradition it will take place on the go-home show.

Zelina Vega is also set to team up with Kayden Carter & Katana Chance to battle Women’s US Champion Chelsea Green and the Secret Hervice (Alba Fyre & Piper Niven) in a six-woman tag match. Additionally, WWE Tag Team Champions The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) will defend the titles against MCMG (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin).
