WWE has opened a new category in its Hall of Fame section to honor matches

WWE is rapidly approaching the start of WrestleMania 41 week, which will be days of excitement and history-making moments. One new addition to the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame ceremony is a new section called the ‘Immortal Moment.’

This will immortalize some of the greatest WWE showdowns in the history of the company. This year, the first inductee will be Bret Hart vs Steve Austin’s iconic WrestleMania 13 submission match. With a new category beginning, here are Khel Now’s ranked ten matches that should enter the WWE Hall of Fame:

10. Trish Stratus vs Lita (2006)

Trish Stratus and Lita are two of the most iconic trailblazers who changed women’s wrestling forever. They had many encounters and met for the final time in a singles match at the 2006 WWE Unforgiven event. This was Trish’s last match as a full-time performer in her hometown of Toronto which tore down the house and saw Stratus winning her 7th Women’s title and retiring as champion.

9. The Undertaker vs Edge (WrestleMania 24)

It might be an unpopular opinion, but the WrestleMania 24 main event between The Undertaker and Edge was one of the most compelling showdowns in the show’s history. The match was a sight to witness as Edge went up against the Deadman. But in the end, he tapped out to Hell’s Gate, and Taker became the new World Heavyweight Champion.

8. John Cena vs Batista (WrestleMania 26)

The two biggest stars since the Attitude Era, John Cena and Batista, rose to superstardom. However, Cena was always seen as the poster boy while The Animal was not. Tensions led to a huge WWE title match at WrestleMania 26, where Cena and Batista produced a memorable showdown. It ended with John Cena tapping out Batista with the STF to win the WWE Championship.

7. Hulk Hogan vs Andre The Giant (WrestleMania 3)

The most memorable match of WWE’s golden era has to be Hulk Hogan vs Andre the Giant at WrestleMania 3. The match was iconic in its own right and always remembered for Hogan bodyslamming Andre on the mat. This match was history-making and is one of the biggest candidates to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame someday.

6. Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair (WWE Evolution)

The heated tensions between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair led to them having a main event match at WWE’s all-women’s pay-per-view, Evolution, in 2018. The Man and The Queen made history in their first-ever Last Woman Standing match, shattering the glass ceiling for good and proving to be worthy of finding a place in the Hall of Fame someday.

5. Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns (WrestleMania 38)

The rivalry between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, which began at WrestleMania 31, saw its third and final encounter at The Show of Shows with both the WWE and Universal titles on the line. The OTC and The Beast fought back and forth in a high-stakes showdown that became memorable, with Roman Reigns becoming the Undisputed WWE Champion. The match that went down became iconic and can find a place in the Hall of Fame one day.

4. The Undertaker vs Triple H (WrestleMania 28)

The match billed as the ‘End of an era’ saw The Undertaker and Triple H compete in a grueling Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania 28. Adding a major twist was Shawn Michaels being the Special Guest Referee. The legends delivered a highly exciting and captivating bout for the last time on the big stage and ended with Taker’s win. Not only that, the match’s ending of the three legends hugging each other became memorable and is sure to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the future.

3. Cody Rhodes vs Seth Rollins (WrestleMania 38)

A match that was ranked as one of the greatest in WrestleMania history was Seth Rollins battling a returning Cody Rhodes in 2022. The two talented wrestlers had one of the most amazing matches in WWE that was iconic in its own way and is a major frontrunner to be in the Hall of Fame one day.

2. Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair vs Ronda Rousey (WrestleMania 35)

At WrestleMania 35, WWE made history with the first-ever women’s main event match for the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championships. The match was headlined by Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and Charlotte Flair, who exceeded all expectations fans had from them. The history-making element, a stellar match, and women changing the game make this match a Hall of Fame inductee very soon.

1. The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania 25)

The one match that is undoubtedly deserving of a Hall of Fame induction is the iconic showdown between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 25. It has become one of the greatest matches, not only in WrestleMania, but in WWE history as the two Hall of Famers produced a highly epic wrestling match. The ending saw The Deadman put away Michaels’ valiant effort and extended his undefeated streak to 17-0.
