These moments faced severe backlash from the WWE Universe.

WWE’s YouTube channel has long served as a hub for highlights, promos, and behind-the-scenes content, attracting hundreds of millions of fans worldwide. Viewers enjoy not only clips from regular TV programming but also exclusive content, podcasts, and other specially curated videos.

Yet, not every upload resonates with the audience. A few videos have received significant negative feedback, racking up an unusually high number of dislikes.

Interestingly, all of these videos come from regular TV programming, feature multiple major stars, and received most of their backlash due to the outcomes or the storylines.

In this article, we examine the five most disliked videos on WWE’s YouTube channel and look at the reasons behind the fan backlash.

5. Jey Uso shuts down Gunther after one-minute win over Austin Theory: Raw, March 17, 20

The first video in this list features the former World Heavyweight Champion from the time he defeated Austin Theory in under one minute on the March 17 episode of Raw, before thwarting an attack by Gunther ahead of their clash at WrestleMania 41.

As of the writing of this article, Jey Uso squashing Austin Theory has amassed 726K views. The video has accumulated a like-to-dislike ratio of 91k dislikes as opposed to 17k likes.

This was the time when WWE was pushing Jey, who recently won the men’s Royal Rumble match and was en route to battle Gunther for the World Heavyweight title at WrestleMania 41. Theory’s rising popularity back then also didn’t help with the win.

4. Gunther vs. Jey Uso | World Heavyweight Title Match: WrestleMania 41 Saturday highlights

The fourth place on the list is also occupied by ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso; the WrestleMania 41 Night One highlight where Jey put Gunther to sleep to win the World Heavyweight title. This was his first WWE World title and his second singles title.

As of the writing of this article, Jey winning the title match has amassed over 2M views. The like-to-dislike ratio is at 116k dislikes as opposed to 45k likes.

3. FULL MATCH: Cody Rhodes reclaims the Undisputed WWE Title from Drew McIntyre: SmackDown highlights

The most recent addition to the list is Cody Rhodes, defeating Drew McIntyre to regain the Undisputed title on the Road to WrestleMania 42, where he will defend it against the winner of the 2026 men’s Elimination Chamber, Randy Orton.

As of the writing of this article, Cody defeating McIntyre to kick off his third title reign has amassed 1.4M views. The video has accumulated a like-to-dislike ratio of 179k dislikes as opposed to 36k likes.

However, unlike other videos, this one is marred by controversies and even claims of inflating dislikes using bots.

2. Randy Orton makes it personal with Triple H

The infamous segment, which holds the second place, is from the March 23, 2009, episode of Monday Night Raw, where Randy Orton kissed an unconscious Stephanie McMahon to taunt a handcuffed Triple H. This was part of their 2009 feud leading to WrestleMania 25. However, the segment remains highly controversial due to its depiction of non-consensual behavior and the shock value created to advance the storyline.

As of the writing of this article, the infamous and problematic segment has amassed 328M views. The video has accumulated a like-to-dislike ratio of 209k dislikes as opposed to 1.4M likes. Notably, the video is among the most viewed on WWE’s YouTube channel, and it even has over a million likes.

1. FULL SEGMENT: The Rock steps to Roman Reigns on Road To WrestleMania: SmackDown, Feb. 2, 2024

The video that sits atop this list of most disliked video features three of the biggest names in sports entertainment. The Rock replacing the 2024 Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes as Roman Reigns‘ opponent for WrestleMania 40.

This caused massive backlash from fans, which is very visible in the likes-to-dislikes ratio of the video. As of the writing of this article, the infamous segment has amassed 6.8M views. The like-to-dislike ratio explains the backlash, as the video has accumulated 521k dislikes as opposed to 134k likes.

Notably, the massive backlash led to WWE changing course and putting Rhodes back in the mix, with Cody ultimately pinning Reigns to capture the Undisputed title.
