WWE Raw is in its final few months before moving to Netflix!
WWE is gearing up for its highly anticipated launch on Netflix scheduled for January 2025. In January 2024, the promotion announced a ten-year deal to sell its flagship weekly program, WWE Raw to the world’s leading entertainment service, for a staggering amount exceeding $5 billion USD.
The streaming giant will serve as the exclusive new home for the Red brand in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Latin America, and other territories, with more countries and regions expected to be added over time.
Under the new deal, the streaming giant will be the exclusive home for all WWE shows and specials outside the United States, including Raw, and SmackDown. Additionally, the streaming giant will stream the company’s Premium Live Events, such as WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble.
According to a Reuters report, the streaming giant has the option to extend its exclusive streaming rights deal for the Red brand for another 10 years or to opt-out after the initial five years.

According to a recent report from Fightful Select, the streaming giant has shown interest in showcasing prominent stars on the Red brand.
The world’s leading entertainment service has requested Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and CM Punk for the Red brand as reported by Fightful Select. However, several WWE sources suggest that the show’s roster has not been finalized yet.
WWE stars from both brands participated in a shoot aimed at promoting the show’s debut on October 27. Apart from this, reports also suggest that Cody Rhodes and Netflix have discussed the possibility of a movie role.
The first episode of the Red brand on the streaming platform is scheduled to occur on Monday, January 6, 2025, at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California, USA.
What to expect from WWE Raw on Netflix?
WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H noted that the content for the show might change, particularly regarding censorship, as both wrestlers and fans can express themselves freely during live broadcasts, unlike traditional television shows.
Roman Reigns stated that the transition to streaming significantly alters the company’s landscape and expressed a desire for the show to adopt a more PG rating to attract a broader audience.
John Cena has also confirmed his appearance at the grand premiere and will officially kick off his farewell tour on the show.
