The second PLE of 2025 emanated from the Rogers Centre
WWE arrived in Toronto, Canada to deliver the second PLE of 2025, the Elimination Chamber which emanated from the Rogers Center in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The PLE featured the two traditional men’s and women’s Chamber matches along with an unsanctioned match and a tag team match.
In the unsanctioned match, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn put their body on the line and delivered an amazing clash where Owens triumphed in the end and defeated Zayn to win the match. In the tag team clash, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton teamed up with WWE legend Trish Stratus and defeated the team of Nia Jax and Candice LeRae.
In the women’s Chamber match, Bianca Belair triumphed over Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez, Alexa Bliss, Bayley and Naomi to win the match and punch her ticket to WrestleMania as the number one contender for the Women’s World title.
Furthermore, John Cena emerged victorious in the men’s Chamber match and did something after the win that has sent ripples through the pro wrestling world. Following Cody Rhodes‘ refusal of The Rock’s lucrative offer, Cena aligned with The Rock and brutalized Rhodes, turning heel for the first time in his career.
The Elimination Chamber has set the stage for the WrestleMania PLE
The road to WrestleMania 41 kicked off at the Lucas Oil Stadium on February 1 with the Royal Rumble PLE. The Stamford-based promotion then delivered the second and final PLE ahead of the grandest stage on March 1, the Elimination Chamber PLE.
The 41st edition of WrestleMania is now scheduled to take place as a two-night event on April 19 and 20, 2025. The massive event will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, USA. This is the second WrestleMania to take place in the Las Vegas area.
The grandest stage will feature stars from both the Raw and SmackDown brand of the Stamford-based promotion. The 2025 edition of WrestleMania will also be the first Mania to stream on Netflix in most international markets, following the transition in January 2025.
Three matches have been confirmed for the grandest stage as World Heavyweight Champion Gunther is set to defend the title against Jey Uso while WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton will defend the title against Charlotte Flair.
Furthermore, after the win in the men’s Chamber match, John Cena will battle Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
