Penta injury update following match vs Solo Sikoa on WWE Raw before Survivor Series 2025

This week’s Monday Night Raw aired live from the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. One of the matches for the show was between Penta and Solo Sikoa in the quarterfinals of the tournament to decide John Cena’s final opponent.
In the first quarterfinals of the tournament, also held on the November 24 show, Gunther defeated Carmelo Hayes to secure his spot in the semi-finals.
Solo Sikoa secured his spot in the semi-finals
Later in the show, Penta and Sikoa battled for a spot in the semi-finals. The action quickly spilled ringside, with Sikoa sending the luchador over the barricade. Just before the commercials, the luchador delivered a head scissors off the ringside barrier. However, it seemed like he had hurt his left shoulder as medical staff rushed in to check on him.
Back from commercials, the official called for the bell, and Alicia Taylor announced that the luchador was unable to compete, and Solo Sikoa was announced the winner of the second quarterfinal match.

The luchador was taken backstage by the medical team, while Solo celebrated the major win alongside Talla Tonga. Penta was likely set to win the match, or at least this wasn’t the planned finish, but the unfortunate injury now means Gunther will take on Solo in the semi-finals.
Wade Barrett on the commentary revealed that the luchador has injured his left shoulder. As of the writing of this article, there is no further update on the severity of his injury by WWE.
The luchador recently united his brother and fellow WWE star Rey Fenix to battle Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano at an AAA event in Guadalajara on December 20th. However, the injury might spoil plans for the Lucha Bros reunion.
