Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins is a main event 14 years in the making.
The storied rivalry between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins will possibly write its final chapter in the main event of WWE SummerSlam 2026 next month in Minneapolis.
The 39th edition of SummerSlam will air as a two-night spectacle on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, 2026, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Premium Live Event will see the former Shield brothers clash for the World Heavyweight Championship in a marquee showdown. With the stakes higher than ever and so much history between Rollins and Reigns, here are five potential finishes to the match:
5. Solo Sikoa interferes

In recent weeks on WWE television, Solo Sikoa has been interfering in The Bloodline’s business and has rejected Roman Reigns’ request to join them at the hands of Jacob Fatu. Sikoa has been retaliating with sneak attacks on the Usos as his faction imploded recently.
The MFT leader could once again interfere in Reigns’ match against Seth Rollins, and this time, cost him his World Heavyweight Championship.
4. Zilla Fatu debuts to help Roman Reigns

According to multiple reports, Zilla Fatu is close to inking a deal with WWE and has reportedly been spotted at the Performance Center.
The son of Umaga could make his debut at SummerSlam 2026 to assist Roman Reigns, much like Solo Sikoa did a few years ago, to help him beat Seth Rollins and officially join The Bloodline.
3. The Bloodline helps their OTC win

An expected finish to Roman Reigns‘ World Heavyweight title defense against Rollins at SummerSlam could see his Bloodline members (The Usos & Jacob Fatu) run interference.
The numbers game might be too much for The Visionary, leading him to lose to Reigns at SummerSlam and come up short in his goal to regain the World title.
2. Roman Reigns finally escapes the ghost of Seth Rollins

As Seth Rollins said in his promo this week on Raw, this is Reigns’ potential last chance to beat him, or he will never be able to escape his ghost.
This could see The OTC leave behind his Bloodline members and arrive at SummerSlam in his best form to have a hard-fought battle against his former Shield brother and beat him to retain the World title.
1. Seth Rollins wins back the title he never lost

Seth Rollins injured his shoulder and had to relinquish the World Heavyweight Championship last year, currently held by Roman Reigns.
The Revolutionary is more motivated than ever to not only beat Reigns, but also win back the title he never lost. This could see Rollins take down the Tribal Chief and pick up a clean victory over Reigns at SummerSlam.
