Tonight’s episode of SmackDown will emanate from Chicago!

In the aftermath of the Clash in Paris, which concluded last Sunday, the dust seemed to settle for the WWE Universe, but the fallout show of Raw proved that more turmoil is awaiting them on the fallout show of Friday Night SmackDown.

The September 5 fallout episode of SmackDown is set to air from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, USA. The show will kick off the build towards the upcoming Wrestlepalooza PLE, while addressing the fallout from Clash in Paris.

Multiple big names, including John Cena and CM Punk, are set for an appearance on tonight’s show. Ahead of tonight’s show, which carries huge anticipation from fans, here are the top three potential spoilers that might be in store for fans on WWE SmackDown in Chicago, Illinois.

3. Drew McIntyre lashes out

During last week’s show, after a fiery promo, Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton engaged in a brawl, which forced security and officials out to separate the two. While Drew threw the first shot, Orton ended up on top but was irked by the security, snapping once, taking everyone out with an RKO.

With Cody Rhodes’ absence and the two stars gunning for each other’s head, another brawl tonight might lead to the announcement of a match between the two.

According to Fightful Select, Brock Lesnar is expected to appear on the show tonight as he is scheduled to travel to the city. This report comes in the backdrop of John Cena being advertised to have his final appearance in Chicago.

Additionally, a recent report from WrestleVotes has revealed that Cena’s appearance in Chicago might be his final SmackDown appearance. Lesnar will likely ambush Cena, similar to SummerSlam, and kick off their feud, which might end up in a main event clash at Wrestlepalooza, as per reports.

1. AJ Lee returns

Following his heated exchange with Becky Lynch, where she interrupted his callout of Seth Rollins to humiliate and slap him, CM Punk is now ready to make an appearance in Chicago this Friday.

There is heavy speculation of AJ Lee making her return to the company after a decade in Chicago tonight, similar to Punk’s return, and reports also point to a mixed tag match between the two real-life couples at Wrestlepalooza. Lee’s return rumors have sparked a frenzy since Monday, and a potential return tonight will shake up the ongoing feud as well as the women’s division if she decides to return full-time.
