Three big title matches are announced for the show

The second edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event is set to emanate from San Antonio, Texas. The event will take place at the Frost Center on January 25 and is expected to be a stellar show, following the success of the first event, which took place in December 2024 after the new regime brought it back.

This edition of the vintage show is set to feature a line-up of top WWE superstars. The company has booked four matches for the show. Moreover, it will also feature the contract signing segment between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens for their upcoming Undisputed WWE title ladder match at the Royal Rumble event, moderated by WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels.

With less than a day left for the show, here are Khel Now’s predictions for this episode of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event:

Braun Strowman vs Jacob Fatu

Braun Strowman got involved in the business of The Bloodline on the January 17 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. The Monster Among Men returned to the blue brand to save LA Knight from the assault laid by Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu. Moreover, he threw major hands with the Samoan Werewolf, leading to their match becoming official for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Following Solo Sikoa‘s defeat in the Tribal Combat, Jacob Fatu is seemingly looking to embark on his own journey following his promo on SmackDown. This could start with a huge victory over a former World Champion like Strowman which could be a major boost for his WWE career.

Predicted Winner: Jacob Fatu

Rhea Ripley vs Nia Jax

Nia Jax did not lose any momentum after losing her WWE Women’s Championship due to Tiffany Stratton’s cash-in on the first SmackDown of 2025. The Irresistible Force dusted off her defeat and headed over to Monday Night RAW, immediately targeting the new WWE Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley. For weeks, the duo have been involved in multiple altercations leading up to their match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Rhea Ripley engaged in a year-long battle with Liv Morgan, and it took months before she finally regained her title. Despite Nia’s imposing strength and size, it is unlikely that WWE would end Mami’s title reign soon and would emerge victorious over Nia Jax.

Predicted winner: Rhea Ripley

Bron Breakker vs Sheamus

Over the last few months, Bron Breakker has shown his impressive in-ring acumen and worth as the WWE Intercontinental Champion. However, at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, he will battle the equally dominant and hard-hitting Fella from Ireland, Sheamus, with his title on the line.

The Celtic Warrior has won every major championship in WWE except the workhorse title in his career. On the other hand, WWE is building up Bron Breakker to be a prime fixture on Monday Night RAW. This could likely mean that they would continue the Wolf Dog’s title reign by booking him to beat Sheamus, unlike his first reign that ended in a few days.

Gunther vs Jey Uso

Jey Uso is coming off one of the most successful years in WWE as a singles in-ring competitor. The YEET man has realised his dream of winning a singles title, gained massive popularity and even declared to become a World Champion in 2025. He has the opportunity to do it in his scheduled match against Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

However, The Ring General has proven himself to be a dominant force of nature and has put multiple superstars as World Champion. While Jey is a huge fan favorite and one of the top stars on RAW, WWE won’t likely end Gunther’s reign just as yet and instead book him to retain the World title.
