Raw talents expect WWE to reconsider holding Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia after travel advisory - Report

WWE is set to host the 2026 edition of Crown Jewel on November 7. The eighth edition of the PLE will take place at the Riyadh Season Stadium, which is a purpose-built temporary outdoor stadium at KAFD in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The main attraction of the event is pitting World Champion against World Champion from both brands in both the men’s and the women’s divisions, with the winner receiving a Crown Jewel title. The event marks WWE‘s 16th event in Saudi Arabia under a 10-year partnership in support of Saudi Vision 2030.
Travel advisory has concerned fans

However, following the U.S. State Department’s recent travel advisory, which places Saudi Arabia at a Level 3 (“reconsider travel”) advisory, with certain regions elevated to Level 4 (“do not travel”), many fans have called for WWE to reconsider holding the PLE in the country.
This concern amid the travel advisory is also shared by some talents on the Raw brand, according to a new report from WRKD Wrestling.
According to the report, following the travel advisory over the weekend, several talents on Raw have expressed hope that the promotion will reconsider holding the Crown Jewel event in the country scheduled for this November.
“With the escalating Saudi Arabia travel advisory issued over the weekend, talk backstage at Raw between talent has some of them stating they hope the WWE seriously reconsiders the upcoming Crown Jewel event in November.”
The travel advisory is due to the ongoing tensions in the Middle East. Alongside an Iran-US conflict, Yemen’s Houthi movement, who are directly in conflict with Saudi Arabia, has raised more concerns. The Houthis have claimed responsibility for drone and ballistic missile strikes targeting Riyadh and energy facilities along Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast.
According to a report from Fightful, despite the travel warnings, the source indicates that the November 7 Crown Jewel event is still expected to proceed as scheduled because WWE remains contractually committed to ESPN for that date.
