Liv Morgan will be absent from WWE programming!
On last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Liv Morgan dropped a bombshell, announcing that she’s landed a role in a major Hollywood film. With such a big opportunity ahead, Liv revealed she would be stepping away from WWE for a while to focus on her new project.
Acting as Raw’s one-night General Manager, Nick Aldis supported her decision and officially granted Liv Morgan time off, while also congratulating her on this milestone. This absence led many fans to believe that the promotion will likely strip Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, who are the current Women’s Tag Team Champions.
However, the promotion has decided not to strip the two of the titles, and here we will take a look at the top three reasons why WWE did so.
3. Record-breaking fourth title reign
The team of Women’s Intercontinental Champion, Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch defeating Morgan and Rodriguez to win the tag titles at WrestleMania 41 on Sunday, didn’t sit well with fans as they thought Liv and Raquel were more deserving and they lost because Lynch was making her return and the promotion wanted to make it special.
However, WWE quickly course-corrected as Morgan and Rodriguez captured the title again on Raw after WrestleMania, breaking their own record and becoming the four-time Women’s Tag Team Champions, and the promotion stripping the titles so quickly after the reign began wouldn’t sit well with fans.

2. Liv Morgan
Yes, the second reason is just Liv Morgan herself, not just her star power, but the way she has carried the promotion on her shoulders, especially in recent times during the absence of multiple big names. Morgan never fails to deliver in the ring, becoming a star that the promotion can rely on. As she explores opportunities in Hollywood, WWE choosing to support her rather than move on is a smart decision.
1. A quick return
According to a report from PWInsider, Morgan is expected to return soon to WWE TV, “within next month, if not sooner,” which is why the promotion has decided not to strip her and Rodriguez of the titles.
Morgan is taking on the role of a politician’s kidnapped daughter, a pivotal character around whom the entire story revolves. She stars alongside acclaimed actors Shun Oguri and Lily James in the high-profile film Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo.
