WWE Crown Jewel 2024 is going to be very interesting
Crown Jewel is just more than a week away, and the excitement for the PLE is at an all-time high. With various storylines coming to a head at the Saudi event, the night promises to be a special occasion.
Would the night be even more joyous for the fans with surprising returns? Join us now as we look at nine possible returns at WWE Crown Jewel 2024.
9. Alexa Bliss
Alexa Bliss has been away from WWE programming for more than 20 months now. The rumor mill has been on for the return of the former women’s champion. However, so far, things have not materialized regarding her comeback. The women’s match for the WWE Crown Jewel championship could finally see Ms. Bliss appear in the Stamford-based promotion.
8. Logan Paul
It’s fair to say that the hallmark of Logan Paul’s short yet splendid WWE career has been his heroics in Saudi Arabia-based PLEs. It’s where the YouTuber has challenged main event players like Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. And last year, he won his maiden title with the wrestling juggernaut, the IC title. Paul staying away from a Middle Eastern adventure seems unlikely, and he may yet show up at the WWE Crown Jewel PLE next month.
7. Becky Lynch
Another major name that has been missing from WWE for over four months is Becky Lynch. Her contract ran out on 1st June earlier this year, but she is yet to re-up with the global wrestling phenomenon. Although she is still mentioned on the internal roster, the Irish Lass Kicker is reportedly on a self-induced sabbatical. Details of her potential return are not clear, yet fans would keep their fingers crossed for a surprise return at the Crown Jewel PLE.
6. Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre‘s stature in WWE has increased tenfold after his and CM Punk’s feud of the year. The Scottish Warrior does deserve some time on the sidelines, particularly after Bad Blood. But by the time cameras roll in Saudi, it would be a complete month of McIntyre-less WWE programming. Given the former NXT champion’s massive popularity, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him back at WWE Crown Jewel in November.
5. Charlotte Flair
It’s been more than ten months since WWE’s resident queen was last seen in the company. Charlotte Flair suffered a host of injuries, namely a torn ACL, MCL, & Meniscus, in her December 2023 match against Asuka. While the Royal Rumble match in January 2025 would be apt for a return by Flair, a miraculously quick recovery could see her appear in the WWE Crown Jewel event.
4. CM Punk
CM Punk went to hell with Drew McIntyre earlier this month; his body paid a heavy price, but the Chicago native must have recuperated by now. The Best In The World has previously expressed the desire to go after Gunther‘s World Heavyweight Championship. What better way than to cost The Ring General the WWE Crown Jewel strap to gain his attention?
3. Paul Heyman
Paul Heyman has been an integral part of the Bloodline saga, and his long absence from WWE programming has upset many of his admirers. It’s quite uncertain what the creative plans are regarding ‘The Wise Man’ reuniting with his Tribal Chief. But keep an eye out for Heyman to mount a shocking comeback in Saudi.
2. The Rock
The likelihood of The Rock appearing in the WWE Crown Jewel PLE next month is slim at best. But WWE’s commitment to making the Saudi shows a massive hit could mean the Final Boss stepping foot for the first time in a Middle Eastern arena. Fans would hope nothing more than for the Black Adam actor to return and continue his tiff with Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.
1. Daniel Bryan
Ok, this one’s a stretch, but never say never in WWE. Daniel Bryan’s awkward contract situation has made one thing clear. The former AEW champion does not want to commit his long-term future to the Jacksonville-based promotion. There’s a good chance Bryan could return to his former employers. Why not Crown Jewel?
It would be absolute pandemonium if any of the superstars mentioned on this list do appear in Saudi next week. The WWE Universe would certainly hope so.
