The 2025 edition of SummerSlam is just a week away!

‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns made his highly anticipated return on last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw to settle the score with Paul Heyman and crew. However, after this week’s Raw, the OTC recently took to social media to propose a tag team clash alongside Jey Uso for SummerSlam.

The 2025 edition of SummerSlam is scheduled to take place as a two-night event on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3, 2025. The show will emanate live from the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, U.S.A.

Reigns, as expected, following his return, went right after Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, who were battering Jey Uso and CM Punk last week. In his last appearance, Reigns tried to confront Paul Heyman on WWE Raw after WrestleMania, who betrayed him to align with Seth Rollins.

However, Reigns was attacked by Breakker, who then went to align with Rollins. Amid Rollins’ absence due to injury, it seems like the OTC is looking to teach his soldiers a lesson. On this week’s Raw, Breakker and Reigns had a brief back-and-forth on the mic, which seemed to have irked Reigns the wrong way.

Tag Team match for SummerSlam

In a recent video posted to Reigns’ social media handle, the OTC challenged Breakker and Reed to a tag team match and then asked Jey to trust him one last time, noting that he loved “standing shoulder-to-shoulder, taking on anybody,” alongside his family and wants to do it again at the upcoming PLE.

“So I’m sitting in my jet last night, and I’m just running it back in my head. I keep hearing those squeaky little words that came out of Bron Breakker’s mouth, running his mouth talking about a whole bunch of stuff that he just doesn’t understand, you know? And I told myself, we can keep doing this. We can just keep going out, we can brawl every single week, but these boys think they’re the future.

The only way to really become the future and become who you think you are is by capturing the moment. You can’t do that only on Mondays now. You gotta do it at the big PLEs, you gotta do it at the SummerSlams, at the Royal Rumbles, at the Manias. That’s how I’ve made my career, that’s how I’ve made my living.

Reigns further added that if Jey is willing to accept the offer, they will take on the “Bron Brons,” with “the dumbass” (Paul Heyman) in their corner. He also stated that he no longer needs Heyman and ended the video by stressing that he’s running out of time and needs answers soon.

“And seeing that none of us are in title matches, we don’t really have much going on. So, I’m going to go ahead and extend the offer: if Main Event Jey Uso, the YEET Man himself, will trust me one last time, I loved it last night, I loved standing shoulder-to-shoulder, taking on anybody,

I love doing that with my family, if he’ll trust me and accept this challenge with me I say we take on the Bron Brons, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed at SummerSlam, with the dumbass in their corner. They can have him, we don’t need him no more. You ain’t got much time. I’m gonna need some answers.”

Jey Uso responds to the offer

‘Main Event’ Jey Uso has now responded to Reigns’ offer. In an Instagram video, the former World Heavyweight Champion responded to the offer with four letters, one word.

“Tibal Chief and Main Event, Jey Uso vs Bron Brons at SummerSlam? Say less UCE, four letters, one word, YEET!”

Fans are now waiting for either Paul Heyman or the Stamford-based promotion to make the match official for SummerSlam.

When and where will WWE SummerSlam 2025 take place?

WWE SummerSlam is scheduled to take place as a two-night event on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3, 2025, at MetLife Stadium.
