[Watch] Roxanne Perez calls CM Punk “a hypocrite” at WWE NXT Battleground 2024

Roxanne Perez is one of the youngest and highly talented professional wrestlers. Roxanne has been in WWE since 2022 and is a two-time NXT Women’s Champion and is currently on her second reign. Roxanne started as the biggest babyface of the black and yellow brand, however, she slowly turned heel in the pursuit to become the champion for the second time.

She won the NXT Women’s title at NXT Stand and Deliver earlier this year, and later she claimed herself as ‘The Prodigy’. Perez recently at NXT Battleground defended her title on the line against TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace successfully defending her title.

Roxanne Perez called CM Punk a “Hypocrite”

After the successful title defense, The Prodigy was interviewed backstage and the interviewer McKenzie Mitchell congratulated her as Roxanne was still the NXT Women’s Champion. To which Roxanne yells at her with anger, as why should she is surprised about it and later says that there is no need to worry because she is The Prodigy.

Roxanne Perez said,

“Are you surprised? Tell me right now, are you surprised? Of course you are, aren’t you? Because everybody was surprised. But why? Why? I’m The Prodigy. There’s no one like me,”

While Roxanne shouted in anger, CM Punk interfered with her and advised Perez that she is head and shoulder above all in the NXT and TNA Knockouts division. He said that Perez was lucky today and asked her to focus on the title.

CM Punk advised Roxanne saying,

“Hold up, just calm down for one second. I’m sorry to burst in here. Listen, you’re the champion for a reason. You’re head and shoulders above all these women here. You’re head and shoulders above all the TNA Knockouts. But tonight, you got lucky. I need you to focus on this. I need you to be who you are, I need you to be The Prodigy. You don’t need anything else,

To which Roxanne sarcastically thanked him and called Punk a hypocrite. Punk was shocked by the reply and asked the interviewer if she (Perez) was always like that.

Roxanne Perez said, “Thanks for the advice. What a hypocrite, huh?”

Roxanne Perez is a huge admirer of CM Punk & AJ Lee. We have witnessed a number of times Punk mentoring Perez backstage and always had a great moment. However, Perez’s recent action surprised not only Punk but also the entire WWE Universe.
