Saraya is currently a free agent after leaving AEW
As WWE gears up for Evolution 2025, fans are buzzing about who might show up at the long-awaited all-women’s premium live event. One of the biggest names on everyone’s radar is former Divas Champion Saraya. While nothing is confirmed, she hasn’t exactly shut the door on a return.
In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Saraya opened up about possibly stepping back into a WWE ring and Evolution seems like the perfect place for it. The former Paige didn’t mince words and hinted she’s still got plenty left in the tank.
“Yeah, I could pop up in WWE tomorrow. I know Evolution’s going to pop up soon. I was in the first one but I wasn’t wrestling on it because of my neck.”
Paige (fka Saraya) wants to return to WWE
Saraya made it clear she’s physically ready to return. She emphasized that if the opportunity is right and the phone rings, she’ll seriously consider stepping back through the curtain.
“Yes, I’m ready to come back to wrestling. If opportunities are there, I’ll take it,” she said. “If the opportunity arises and I get the call to be like, ‘Hey, can you come and do this?’”
Her comments come at a time when WWE is looking to stack Evolution 2 with star power. Though reports indicate she hadn’t yet been contacted by the company, Saraya’s tone suggests that the situation could change quickly.
Saraya was a part of WWE during Evolution 1
Saraya’s connection to WWE Evolution runs deep. She was part of the original event in 2018 but couldn’t compete due to her neck injury. That’s something she’s never forgotten.
“It’s like a bittersweet thing, because the first one, I couldn’t be on it because of my neck. So if I had the opportunity to be on this all-female pay-per-view, of course, yeah, I would think about it.”
Her comments reflect both the emotional weight of that missed opportunity and the hunger to be involved this time around. That passion alone makes her a prime candidate for a high-profile return.
Adding to the mystery, Saraya recently sent out a cryptic tweet that fueled speculation about her status. While she didn’t confirm anything, the door remains wide open. With Evolution just around the corner, all eyes will be on whether WWE pulls the trigger on a long-awaited comeback. If she does return, it would be a full-circle moment and one the WWE Universe won’t soon forget.
