Seth Rollins won the MITB ladder match last month!

‘The Visionary’ Seth Rollins, aided by his henchmen Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, captured the briefcase in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match at the namesake PLE on June 7 at the Intuit Dome.

With the win, Rollins obtained the briefcase, which contains a contract for a championship match, at a time and place of his choosing. The Visionary has already teased the cash-in multiple times and even attempted in the main event of Night of Champions 2025 during the Undisputed title clash between John Cena and CM Punk.

Rollins even warned the World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther, on this week’s Monday Night Raw. However, one WWE on-screen personality believes that Rollins will not cash in on Gunther and instead will do something that will lead to a clash with a familiar foe, Roman Reigns.

What Happened?

During a conversation on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, WWE on-screen personality Sam Roberts shared his personal prediction, stating that WWE can use the MITB briefcase to cash in and become the Undisputed WWE Champion, following which he can defend it against Reigns at WrestleMania 42.

“I personally feel like Seth Rollins and his Money in the Bank briefcase is going to be used for the WWE Championship. I don’t think it’s a World Heavyweight Championship win. I think Seth Rollins, whether it’s John Cena or Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins is going to use his briefcase to get the WWE Championship. Then that could lead to a WrestleMania match where Seth is defending that title against Roman Reigns.”

John Cena is currently the Undisputed WWE Champion and is set to defend the title against Cody Rhodes in a rematch at SummerSlam. Rhodes punched his ticket, defeating Randy Orton to win the 2025 King of the Ring tournament and earn a chance to battle the Champion at SummerSlam.

Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins battled in a triple-threat match at WrestleMania 41

Rollins battled Reigns and CM Punk in a triple-threat match in the main event of WrestleMania 41 (Saturday). Due to Paul Heyman’s betrayal, Rollins was able to pick up the win, defeating his two fierce rivals at the ‘Grandest Stage’.

Heyman not only betrayed Reigns but also betrayed Punk to align with Rollins to everyone’s surprise and has now formed a faction dubbed ‘Trifecta of Terror’ by GM Adam Pearce. The faction consists of Rollins and Heyman along Bwith ron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

Roman Reigns’ WWE return looming as SummerSlam approaches

Roman Reigns has been off WWE television since the RAW after WrestleMania 41, and speculation is building around his return. According to WrestleVotes, his name has “popped up internally,” often signaling creative plans are being finalized, possibly for a SummerSlam 2025 comeback.

His last appearance saw him brutally taken out by Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Paul Heyman, effectively writing him off TV for months. Reigns’ transition into film continues a trend set by stars like John Cena and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
