WWE Survivor Series: WarGames is the last PLE of 2024

Following the success of Crown Jewel 2024, WWE is preparing for its final PLE of the year, Survivor Series 2024, scheduled for November 30 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. The 38th edition will be the third WarGames-themed event in WWE history.WWE legend Goldberg recently announced during an appearance on the SEC Network that he will return next year and revealed his official retirement match will take place in 2025.

This is the third time WWE has hosted the PLE event in Canada and the first time it has been held in Vancouver. Ahead of the upcoming PLE let us take a look at four WWE stars who might make their return at the last PLE in Vancouver.

4. Goldberg

WWE legend  Goldberg recently announced during an appearance on the SEC Network that he will return next year and revealed his official retirement match will take place in 2025. However, the opponent for his retirement match has not been confirmed yet.

The feud between the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and Goldberg already kicked off during the Bad Blood 2024 PLE. At the Bad Blood PLE, the Heavyweight Champion called out the Hall of Famer, who was in the audience and insulted his family.

This provoked Goldberg to jump the barricade, though he was quickly stopped before things could get physical. The World Heavyweight Champion is now scheduled for a title defense against Damian Priest at the upcoming PLE.

This could be an opportunity for the legend to make a shocking return at Survivor Series: WarGames which would set up a grudge match between him and Gunther.

3. Paul Heyman

‘The Wiseman’ Paul Heyman has been absent from WWE programming since June when he was attacked by Solo Sikoa and the new Bloodline. The Wiseman was viciously assaulted and was subsequently kicked out of the faction.

On the 11/15 episode of SmackDown, ‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns tried calling the Wiseman but a recorded voice on the other end told him that the number was no longer in service.

The cliffhanger intrigued fans as they were expecting more, the return of Heyman at Survivor Series could be an amazing thing for the OTC as many fans have pointed out that only Heyman can keep the OG faction together without clashes.

The OG faction currently needs the Wiseman to keep the faction on the same page and organized to battle the rogue faction.

2. The Rock

Dwayne ‘The Rock‘ Johnson’s last in-ring appearance was when Reigns was The Tribal Chief, but things have changed now and Sikoa is the new Tribal Chief of the Bloodline.

The Final Boss made his return at Bad Blood 2024 PLE following Rhodes & Roman’s win against the Bloodline. However, The Final Boss didn’t utter a word he only pointed to Cody Rhodes and Reigns.

There were rumors that the fifth member of the Sikoa faction might be The Final Boss himself. However, the 11/15 segment of SmackDown revealed that Bronson Reed is the fifth member of the faction at WarGames.

There is still a potential that the Hollywood star will return at the PLE to align with the rogue faction and acknowledge Sikoa as his Tribal Chief.

1. CM Punk

WWE megastar CM Punk is currently on a long break from in-ring competition since the gruesome Hell in a Cell match against Drew McIntyre at the Bad Blood 2024 PLE.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for Punk‘s return to WWE television since his last appearance in early October. As per recent reports, The Second City is set to be a part of an upcoming live event which will be taking place on December 26 at Madison Square Garden.

Punk was earlier rumored to face the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther at the Survivor Series PLE. However, Gunther is scheduled to face Damian Priest at the upcoming PLE. The Second City Saint could still make an appearance at the PLE and confront the winner of the Heavyweight clash.

The return would also serve as a throwback to his highly anticipated return after almost a decade at last year’s Survivor Series 2023 in Chicago. The Second City Saint got a huge pop from his hometown crowd in his WWE return last year.
