Stephanie Vaquer dethrones Liv Morgan in shocking win to regain World title at WWE live event in Chile

Becky Lynch was the special guest referee for the rematch.

As announced by General Manager Adam Pearce, Liv Morgan battled Stephanie Vaquer in a rematch with the Women’s World title on the line at WWE Live in Santiago, Chile, on September 12. Becky Lynch was the special guest referee for the title match.

The match was announced after Morgan, with the help of Judgment Day, managed to pin Vaquer to retain the title on last week’s Raw in Birmingham, Alabama.

The match marked their first meeting since WrestleMania 42, where Morgan defeated Vaquer to capture the World title. However, in their third title clash, Vaquer emerged victorious, reclaiming the World title in a historic moment in front of her home fans.

During the match, Stephanie Vaquer capitalized on the opportunity and the arguments between Morgan and guest referee Becky Lynch to pin Morgan and become a two-time WWE World Champion in her home country of Chile.

The match ended with Liv arguing with Becky before hitting Oblivion on Vaquer, but Lynch stopped counting after two to flip Liv off. Vaquer then took control, landing the SVB before following up with the Vaquer Inferno to pin Morgan and reclaim the World title.

As noted, Vaquer lost the title at WrestleMania 42 against Liv, ending her first WWE World title reign at 210 days, and with the win, she has kicked off her second World title reign, while Morgan’s third World title reign came to an end with the loss in Chile at 147 days.
