Jade Cargill's first title defense; Elimination Chamber qualifiers & other storylines to watch on WWE SmackDown tonight (February 13, 2026)

Tonight’s SmackDown will feature two title matches.

Live from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown promises to be an exciting watch as the build towards Elimination Chamber continues.

Two title matches, along with the men’s and women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifiers, and a singles showdown between Rey Fenix and Trick Williams is announced for the February 13 SmackDown.

Let us now take a look at the four WWE storylines that might unravel on the Road to WrestleMania on this week’s show of the Blue brand.

4. Royce Keys’ debut?

Powerhouse Hobbs, aka Royce Key,s made his debut during the men’s Royal Rumble match in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Since then, he has been absent from WWE programming, despite reports of him joining the Blue brand.

WWE teased a storyline between Keys and Damian Priest during the Rumble, and fans are expecting the same when Keys makes his debut. Per Fightful Select, Keys was recently at WWE HQ to film an upcoming episode of What’s Your Story? with Stephanie McMahon, and fans might witness his main roster debut tonight.

3. Women’s Tag Team titles

For the second straight week, Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky will defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Fresh off a decisive win over Giulia and Kiana James, the champions now face a dangerous new challenge in the powerhouse pairing of Nia Jax and Lash Legend.

While all signs currently point towards Rhe and Iyo retaining the tag titles, the promotion might use this match to build up a multi-woman title clash for WrestleMania, further highlighting the deep women’s tag team roster.

2. Jade Cargill’s first title defense

WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill will take on the new challenger that risen through the ranks instantly following her main roster debut from NXT, Jordynne Grace. The two women have been feuding for weeks, leading to the clash where Cargill will defend the title for the first time since capturing it in November last year.

With reports of plans still being undecided for the Women’s title, it will be interesting to see how the match unfolds between the two powerhouses.

1. Elimination Chamber qualifiers

Tonight’s episode will also feature the third Elimination Chamber Qualifying matches. On the men’s side, Cody Rhodes, Jacob Fatu, and Sami Zayn will battle for the third spot, while Alexa Bliss, Giulia, and Zelina will lock horns in the women’s Qualifying match in Texas.

With Rhodes and Fatu competing in the same qualifiers, despite their ongoing rivalry, and amid rumors of a triple threat Undisputed Championship match including both, fan anticipation is very high. Their consecutive attacks on Drew McIntyre last week could also influence tonight’s action, as the Champion may be ready to retaliate.
