This week’s episode of the Blue brand will emanate from the Moda Center

After delivering on the historic debut show of Monday Night Raw, WWE is set to deliver the second episode of Friday Night SmackDown in 2025. Similar to the first episode last week, this week’s episode will also be a three-hour show.

The developments from the last episode as well as the debut episode of the Red brand will shape storylines and segments on the 01/10 episode of the Blue brand. Let us take a look at the top five storylines that you need to watch out for on the first episode of 2025.

5. Michin vs Chelsea Green

Following her loss at Saturday Night’s Main Event against Chelsea Green, Michin’s dream of becoming the first Women’s United States Champion was shattered. The loss was in part due to Chelsea’s friend Piper Niven who interfered during the match.

Michin made it clear that she is not done with Green by attacking her during her US title celebration last month. This led to a clash between Niven and Michin in the last week’s episode.

Michin picked up the win in the clash last week and mocked the Women’s US Champion. It seems like the feud between the two is just brewing and on this week’s episode, Michin will likely demand a rematch against Chelsea for the US title.

4. Street Profits confronts DIY

On the last episode of Blue Brand in 2024, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins (Street Profits) found out that Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano (DIY) were the ones who assaulted them before their tag title match against MCMG.

Ford and Dawkins were wrongly informed earlier by Preety Deadly that Los Garzas were the assailants. This led to a backstage brawl where Ford and Dawkins targeted Berto and Garza (Los Garza) last month.

Ford and Dawkins will likely confront the WWE Tag Team Champions demanding an explanation for the unprovoked attack. The Street Profits will likely demand a title shot which was snubbed from them by DIY. The confrontation will most likely turn ugly leading to a brawl between the two teams.

3. Nia Jax – Tiffany Stratton

The highlighting moment from last week’s episode was Tiffany Stratton cashing in her MITB contract against Nia Jax and becoming the WWE Women’s Champion for the first time in her career. This came after months of tease and visible tension between the two friends.

Stratton initially helped Jax in her title defense against Naomi last week and then attacked Jax and Candice LeRae, following it up by successfully cashing in against her ‘friend’.

The former Women’s Champion will likely confront Stratton and ask for an explanation for her betrayal. Jax will likely ask for a rematch on the 01/10 episode of the Blue brand.

2. Drew McIntyre vs OG Bloodline

After dismantling Sami Zayn, ‘The Scottish Warrior’ Drew McIntyre shifted his attention to Jey Uso in his quest to take out every member of the OG Bloodline. The two stars locked horns in the debut episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix.

However, McIntyre failed in his quest as despite dominating the match Jey was able to roll him up for a cover and pick the win. The setback will anger McIntyre even more leading him to ambush the Usos or Sami Zayn on this week’s episode.

1. Rift in the New Bloodline

Despite the interference of his Bloodline, Solo Sikoa suffered a brutal defeat against Roman Reigns on the debut episode of the Red brand this Monday where the sacred Ula Fala was on the line.

The title of the ‘Real Tribal Chief’ was also on the line for the matchup and Sikoa’s loss might hinder his dominance as a leader. The new Bloodline members might start questioning Sikoa’s leadership ability as despite their dominance they haven’t been very successful in terms of titles.

The new Bloodline also didn’t retaliate when Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa lost their tag titles against MCMG as they were busy feuding with the OG Bloodline. Tonga might raise this issue by pointing out Solo’s negligence and his singular goal of targeting the OG faction.

How will Nia Jax respond to losing her title at the hands of her friend? Will the Bloodline stand together with Solo Sikoa despite the loss? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
