The 02/17 episode of the Red brand carries huge anticipation
The 02/17 episode of Monday Night Raw will continue building towards the upcoming PLE as the road to WrestleMania 41 inches closer. Two final qualifying matches have been set for the show which will emanate from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA.
Apart from the two qualifying matches, two singles matches also have been announced where AJ Styles will battle Dominik Mysterio and Penta will lock horns against Pete Dunne.
As the promotion builds towards the Elimination Chamber PLE, here are the top five storylines that you need to watch out for on this episode of WWE Raw.
5. The New Day – LWO
In the closing moments of last week’s episode, Logan Paul defeated Rey Mysterio to qualify for the men’s Chamber match. However, as the show came to an end and Mysterio was addressing his wounds Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods (New Day) ambushed him and started battering the legend as the show went off air.
The reason behind Kingston and Woods attacking Mysterio likely is Rey as the locker room leader obliged with the majority decision of banning the New Day after they turned on Big E. The unprovoked attack will likely start a feud between the New Day and Mysterio’s LWO (Dragon Lee, Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro)

4. AJ Styles – Dominik Mysterio
‘The Phenomenal One’ AJ Styles made his return on last week’s show as he joined Monday Night Raw following his initial return at the Royal Rumble PLE. However, Styles segment was interrupted by ‘Dirty Dom’ Dominik Mysterio who was accompanied by Carlito.
The war of words quickly turned into a brawl with Styles getting better of the exchange despite the numbers game. This confrontation irked Styles who demanded a match against Dirty Dom which was approved by General Manager Adam Pearce. The two stars will now lock horns on this week’s show.
3. Elimination Chamber qualifiers
As mentioned earlier, two qualifying matches are set for the show in the men’s and women’s divisions. Both matches are the final qualifying matches where Roxanne Perez will battle Raquel Rodriguez and Seth Rollins will battle Finn Balor.
The four stars will try to win their respective matches to secure the final spot in the Chamber match next week. Perez and Raquel also had a backstage interaction last week which has fueled some bad blood between the two. Similarly, Rollins and Balor also had a few harsh things to say about each other during a segment last week with Jackie Redmond.
2. Penta – Ludwig Kaiser – Pete Dunne
After defeating Pete Dunne and Ludwig Kaiser back-to-back Penta has been on a sharp rise since his debut last week. However, Dunne and Kaiser took the loss against the luchador personally and are now looking to exact their revenge.
While Kaiser initially tried to join forces with Dunne to take down the luchador, Dunne made it clear that he didn’t want anything to do with Kaiser. Dunne is now set to battle Penta on this week’s show and has made it clear to Ludwig that he should stay out of his way which Kaiser won’t likely do and interference will lead to more animosity potentially setting up a triple-threat clash between them.
1. Jade cargill assailants
During the 02/14 show of SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis called Belair and Naomi into his office after receiving an anonymous video that appeared to have been shot on a cellphone. Aldis played the clip as Belair and Naomi recognized Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez walking near the ambulance when Cargill was being taken to the hospital.
While Aldis tried to point out that nothing was confirmed yet and that he would call Raw General Manager, Adam Pearce to figure out the next step before jumping to any conclusion. Belair and Noami seemed to have made up their minds as they stated that they would go to Raw to handle Morgan and Raquel themselves.
Do you think Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez are behind the attack on Jade Cargill? Who do you think will qualify in the two announced matches? Share your thoughts and predictions in the comments section.
