Tonight’s SmackDown will feature a US Title celebration for Chelsea Green.
Tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown is set to air live from the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. Multiple big names, including Carmelo Hayes, Penta, Chelsea Green, Finn Balor, and Bronson Reed, among others, are set to appear on the show.
The show will further intensify the build towards Survivor Series, which is now just a few days away, likely confirming the teams for the women’s WarGames match. WWE has also announced multiple matches and segments for the show. The tournament to decide John Cena’s final match will continue on the show with the two final first-round matches.
Additionally, the show will also feature a tag team match, along with Chelsea Green’s US title celebration. Ahead of tonight’s show, here are the top four storylines to watch out for on tonight’s WWE SmackDown.
4. John Cena’s final match tournament

The two final first-round matches to decide John Cena‘s final opponent are set for tonight’s show. Penta is set to battle Finn Balor, while on the other hand, Carmelo Hayes will take on The Vision’s Bronson Reed.
The winners will advance into the tournament, joining Rusev, Sheamus, LA Knight, Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Gunther in the quarterfinals. The quarterfinals of the tournament will begin next week on Monday Night Raw.

3. Chelsea Green’s US title celebration

Tonight’s show of the Blue brand will feature a proper celebration for Chelsea Green, who defeated Giulia on the November 7 show to capture the Women’s United States title for the second time. The Women’s US title has been poorly featured on regular programming and has not even once been featured on a PLE.
Green’s inaugural title reign is considered the best, and WWE has once again put the belt on her, likely signaling big plans for the Women’s US Title, which has long been treated as an afterthought.

2. What’s next for Jade Cargill?

After winning the title, WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill faced B-Fab last week in a non-title match. The Women’s Title has also struggled, as former champion Tiffany Stratton repeatedly battled the same opponents, limiting opportunities for fresh and intriguing storylines.
Cargill’s confrontation with Michin last week, along with their online banter, hints at another squash match for the champion. However, Jade isn’t as over as Stratton and will need strong storylines and matches, which seems unlikely given the current state of the SmackDown roster.
1. Charlotte Flair’s WarGames decision
During last week’s show, Charlotte Flair, citing her differences with Rhea Ripley, walked out of the team, which is set to take on the team of Nia Jax, Lash Legend, and the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane). The search for one remaining teammate turned into two for Ripley’s team.
On this week’s Raw, when the opposing team attacked Bliss and company, Flair came to their rescue. Since then, Bliss has confirmed that her tag partner will be part of the team. Flair now faces a choice: put aside her differences and join her tag partner to face Team Nia at WarGames, or resist Bliss and stay out of the team.
