The 2026 edition of Money in the Bank will take over New Orleans.
Initially scheduled for Sunday, September 6, the 2026 edition of Money in the Bank was moved to Saturday, October 10, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. The 2026 edition will mark the first Money in the Bank event to be held in October, as well as the first to take place after SummerSlam.
The PLE will feature stars from the main roster brands, Raw and SmackDown, and will center around the MITB ladder matches, where multiple competitors battle to retrieve a briefcase containing a contract that guarantees the respective winners a championship match of their choice at any time over the following year.
With the conclusion of the September 6 edition of Sunday Night’s Main Event, WWE has kicked off the qualifying matches to decide the participants for the men’s and women’s ladder matches at the PLE.
The qualifying matches kicked off on the September 7 edition of Monday Night Raw from the Legacy Arena at the BJCC in Birmingham, Alabama, with winners securing the first spots in the men’s and women’s MITB ladder matches.
Sol Ruca capitalizes on Bayley’s return

In the first qualifying match of the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, Lyra Valkyria, Sol Ruca, and Maxxine Dupri collided to secure a spot in the ladder match. Valkyria came very close to securing the spot after delivering Nightwing on Dupri and going for the pin.
However, Bayley returned for the first time since July, costing Valkyria by pulling out the referee. Ruca capitalized on the interference to hit Sol Snatcher on Lyra and pin her to secure the first spot.
The second qualifying match took place on the September 14 edition of Raw in Mexico City, featuring a three-way bout between Raquel Rodriguez, Kelani Jordan, and Lola Vice.
The match marked Lola Vice’s main roster debut and reigning NXT Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan’s first in-ring appearance on the main roster.
Vice picked up the win, pinning the Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez to secure her first win on the main roster and qualify for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
On the September 18 edition of SmackDown, the third qualifying match for the women’s MITB match took place, where Jacy Jayne edged out Jade Cargill and Alexa Bliss to punch her ticket to New Orleans.
Meanwhile, Roxanne Perez pinned Iyo Sky in a triple threat match also involving AAA Reina de Reinas Champion La Catalina to secure the fourth spot during the 9/21 edition of Raw in San Antonio.
Lash Legend qualified for the ladder match on the September 25 edition of the show, after defeating Charlotte Flair and Giulia in a triple threat match to secure the fifth spot.
