This week’s episode of the Red brand features a rematch from WrestleMania
As the Stamford-based promotion gears up for the January 25 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw will feature segments and storylines that will build up towards the event this Saturday.
Multiple segments and matches have been announced for the 01/20 show which will be aired live from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. WWE Hall of Famer JBL is also set to make an appearance on tonight’s show.
Ahead of the 01/20 episode let us take a look at the top five surprises you should watch out for this week’s show of the Red brand.
5. JBL announces his entry into the 2025 Royal Rumble
WWE Hall of Famer JBL is set to make an appearance on tonight’s episode of the Red brand. JBL hung up his wrestling boots in 2009 and took up the role of commentating. In recent times, the Hall of Famer has made appearances in multiple promotions including TNA.
There is the possibility that the Hall of Famer might announce his entry into the 2025 Royal Rumble match, as the hunger to compete sometimes comes back when you witness the crowd chanting your name. JBL’s last Rumble appearance was in 2014 Royal Rumble which emanated from the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

4. Bayley joins the Red brand
On last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Bayley failed in her attempt to capture the WWE Women’s title as the newly crowned champion Tiffany Stratton pinned her to retain the title.
There is a possibility that the former multi-time champion will join the Red brand on tonight’s show to look for new opportunities and matches. Bayley has appeared on the last two week’s episodes of Raw including during the historic debut episode of Raw on Netflix where she was having a conversation with General Manager Adam Pearce.

3. Sheamus – Bron Breakker brawl
After defeating Ludwig Kaiser on the last week’s episode Sheamus bagged the opportunity to battle Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental title at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event. The two stars also got into a heated confrontation following Sheamus’ win.
Breakker and Sheamus will likely cut a promo tonight’s show hyping up their upcoming title clash. The animosity between the two always takes center stage when they come face to face and a brawl is the most probable outcome of their confrontation this week.
2. Final Testament attacks Sami Zayn
On the last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Sami Zayn got into a heated argument with The Miz who was accompanied by Karrion Kross. Although initially Kross took part in the argument Miz slowly took over leading to an impromptu match between the two.
Since the transfer of the Wyatt Sicks faction to SmackDown there is no one to balance the chaos that the Final Testament creates. Kross will likely want to teach Zayn a lesson for last week’s confrontation and send a message to the entire locker room.
1. PFC assaults Damage CTRL
Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai (Damage CTRL) are hungry to inflict damage and exact their revenge on Pure Fusion Collective (Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark & Sonya Deville) who are responsible for the injury of their stablemate Kairi Sane.
However, PFC are infamous for their dirty and inhumane tactics and they have the numbers advantage as Sane is out of action due to injury. There is a possibility that Sky and Kai are overwhelmed by the numbers game leading to assault at the hands of PFC.
Can Damage CTRL win and avenge their stablemate Kairi Sane or will PFC prevail? What dream matches do you want to see if Bayley joins the Red brand? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
