Tonight’s episode of the Blue brand features a triple-threat match

The promotion is arriving in the city that never sleeps to deliver a high-octane episode of  Friday Night SmackDown which features multiple exciting matchups and an appearance from the megastar, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

The 02/21 episode will emanate live from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisana. Apart from Johnson, multiple top stars are set for an appearance on the show including Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton and Jimmy Uso.

Ahead of tonight’s show in the Smoothie King Center, let us take a look at the top four surprises that could be in store for WWE fans.

5. Tag title clash ends in DQ

WWE Tag Team Champions Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano(DIY) are set to defend the tag title tonight against Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince). While Pretty Deadly are looking to capitalize on the opportunity that they fought hard to get, the champions are looking to teach them a lesson.

However, similar to the Royal Rumble PLE, the shadow of Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) looms large over the match and Ford and Dawkins will likely attack both the team leading to a disqualification.

4. The Rock reignites a old feud

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is set to make his electrifying return on tonight’s episode of SmackDown. This will be his first appearance since last month where he participated in the Raw Netflix debut episode.

The return has made many fans to speculate what Johnson would do in his return and his cryptic post where Rock promised that he is coming to ‘handle business’ and ‘f*ck up a certain someone’s life’ has made fans think he will reignite his feud with Cody Rhodes.

3. Shinsuke Nakamura ambushes LA Knight

After defeating the Miz last week in a singles match, LA Knight once again proved his contention for the United States title which is currently held by Shinsuke Nakamura. While Nakamura has defended the title against Knight, the rematches have been marred by interference.

While Knight last week defeated Miz and warned the champion that he is coming for the title, Nakamura might want to fend off the challenger and protect his title. The US Champion will lielly attack Knight on this week’s episode in order to warn him.

2. Tiffany Stratton retaliates

WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton defended her title last week against her former friend Nia Jax. However, the title defense turned into a beatdown as Candice LeRae and Jax battered the champion who got some breathing room as WWE legend Trish Stratus tried to aid her.

The numbers game ultimately took over as Jax and LeRae battered both Stratus and Stratton. The champion will likely join hands with Stratus and retalite tonight to send a message and building the tag team clash at the upcoming Elimination Chamber PLE.

1. Jimmy Uso wins

Following their conformation last week where Jimmy Uso took out Drew McIntyre with a brutal superkick, the promotion has set up a singles clash between the two tonight. McIntyre is hungry to deliver punishment on Jimmy for the attack last week.

However, McIntyre has lost few matches recently due to his anger as he throws the gameplan out of the window in order to inflict punishment. Jimmy could pick a page from his brother Jey Uso’s book and roll out Drew to get a win tonight.

Who do you think The Rock is referring to in the cryptic post? Who do you think will win in the tag team title clash tonight? Share your thoughts and predictions in the comments section.
