Segments and feuds will reach boiling point tonight on SmackDown

Tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown will air from the Moody Centre in Austin, Texas. The 01/24 episode is the go-home show for SNME as the promotion prepares for the January 25 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Three title matches along with a clash between Braun Strowman and Jacob Fatu have been announced so far for the show in San Antonio, Texas which is an hour away from the Blue brand’s venue. Multiple top stars are slated to appear on the show including Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, LA Knight, Bianca Belair, and many more.

Ahead of tonight’s show, let’s explore three potential surprises that could be in store for WWE fans in Austin, Texas.

3. DIY interferes

Former WWE Tag Team Champions Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) are set to lock horns against Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince). MCMG are looking to earn a title rematch against the current champion DIY (Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano) and exact their revenge.

While Gargano and Ciampa tried to indirectly interfere in MCMG matches via Preety Deadly. However, Wilson and Price failed in their attempts and the tag champion might take matters into their own hands. There is a possibility that Cimapa and Gargano will likely interfere in the clash between MCMG and Preety Deadly.

2. The Bloodline crumbles

On last week’s show, Solo Sikoa made a return following the devastating loss against Roman Reigns, Sikoa was supposed to address the loss and move forward. However, Sikoa looked visibly shaken and left without uttering a word as the crowd continued booing.

Recent reports have suggested that the promotion will not address the team of Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga as the Bloodline. In addition to this, the loss has shattered Sikoa’s confidence which was one of the key facets of his dominant rule.

There is a possibility that we will see the split of Bloodline followed by a single run for Sikoa and its members, and the possibility of the Bloodline members just refusing to bow down and wreak havoc is also a possible scenario.

1. Charlotte Flair returns

On last week’s episode of the Blue brand, the promotion played a promo hyping up the return of the former multi-time WWE World Champion Charlotte Flair. The Queen has been out of action since December 2023 when she was competing against Asuka and tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus during the match.

Speculations regarding her return have been rife in recent times and fans are hoping to see Flair compete in the upcoming Royal Rumble PLE. There is a possibility that the former multi-time champion will make her return tonight in Austin and announce her entry into the women’s Royal Rumble match.

What lies ahead for Solo Sikoa and the Bloodline after losing the Ula Fala? Can Motor City Machine Guns overcome all odds to defeat Pretty Deadly? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
