The Rock kept a full stop to ongoing WrestleMania 41 rumors!
The Rock recently made his return at the 2024 Bad Blood PLE, appearing in the final moments of the show interfering with the Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes celebration. Following the Rock’s return, there has been a big rumor and speculation about the potential Rock vs Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes match at WrestleMania 41.
However, backstage rumors suggested that Rock might not work for the big event. Now Rock has responded to the WrestleMania 41 rumors. Here we take a look at the backstage rumors and The Rock’s response to the rumors.
The Rock’s WrestleMania 41 rumors
On the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that he has heard from sources within WWE that some person in the creative, who has old school mentalities didn’t like Rock stealing the show without converting it into a match. It is reported that The Rock is not going to be at WrestleMania 41, and he had already reported it about the Rock vs Reigns vs Rhodes match.
Dave Meltzer said,
“While nobody can say it publicly, some with old school mentalities didn’t like the idea that he stole the show and it‘s not building to a match. ‘He’s not going to be able to do Mania. He already gave word that he wouldn’t be able to do that match’ when asked about Rock vs. Reigns vs. Rhodes.”
The reports suggest that the People’s champ’s return at Bad blood could go all in or he could not work for WrestleMania due to a heavy schedule commitment.
“What we do know is that Dwayne Johnson when it comes to this is either going to be all in, meaning a full training camp to get into the best wrestling and cosmetic shape he can get in, or not in. ‘The story is simply his schedule got too heavy, he couldn’t commit to doing it right.’”
The Rock’s response to WrestleMania 41 rumors
Following the rumors, a fan on Instagram asked The Rock if he really was not working for WrestleMania 41. To which the Final Boss responded saying, “Don’t believe any of that bullshit 😉👊”
With this Rock has officially put an end card to the WrestleMania 41 rumors. However there is no information on what’s the actual plan for the People’s Champ of the grandest show next year.
