The January 25 edition of SNME is mere hours away

The Stamford-based promotion has set the stage for the January 25 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event which is now mere hours away. The show will air live from the Frost Bank Centre in San Antonio, Texas.

Three title matches have been set for the show along with a clash between Braun Strowman and Jacob Fatu. The January 25 edition comes after the success of the first edition back in December 2024, when the popular NBC show was revived after sixteen years.

Ahead of the show in San Antonio, let us take a look at three things that must happen at the January 25 edition of SNME.

3. The contract signing should end in chaos

A contract signing between Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens is set for SNME ahead of their clash in a ladder match at the Royal Rumble PLE. The contract signing will be moderated by WWE legend Shawn Michaels and both stars will relinquish the titles (Undisputed title & Winged Eagle title) after signing the contract.

While Owens and Rhodes are constantly brawling and fighting upon the mere sight of each other, to do the same in front of a huge crowd on a big stage while Shawn Michaels is present will surely garner more eyeballs for the match. KO has shined since starting his heel run last year, Owens continues to taunt audiences and is brilliant while cutting promos.

If the contract signing ends in chaos it will lead to even more hype this can be capped off by Owens landing either a stunner or a package piledriver on Shawn Michaels. The unprovoked attack on a legend would further solidify KO heel status increasing the stakes for Royal Rumble.

2. Jacob Fatu defeats Braun Strowman

Solo Sikoa’s enforcer Jacob Fatu has spent most of his time implementing Solo’s will and orders. However, since Sikoa’s humiliating defeat in the tribal combat match, Fatu has seemingly kicked off his singles run. Fatu is set to face Braun Strowman in a clash of two monsters tomorrow.

The mere sight of the two monsters facing each other has hyped up fans and there is a lot of anticipation behind this match. A win for Fatu against Strowman will go a long way in establishing Fatu as a formidable challenger for titles. Fatu needs a clean win to separate himself from the Bloodline and Solo Sikoa.

1. Sheamus becomes WWE Grand Slam Champion

Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker is set to defend the title against ‘The Celtic Warrior’ Sheamus in tomorrow’s event. The Celtic Warrior has had a long career in the Stamford-based promotion which is filled with multiple achievements. He has held the US title, the World Heavyweight title, and the WWE World Tag Team title.

However, there is one title that has eluded him all his career and despite multiple attempts, Sheamus has failed to capture the title. The Celtic Warrior needs to defeat Breakker to win the IC title and realize his dream of becoming the Grand Slam Champion.
