Top five things The Rock can do on WWE SmackDown tonight (February 21, 2025)

Tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown will emanate from the Smoothie King Center

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is set to make his return tonight in the 02/21 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The Final Boss will make an appearance in the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisana. 

This will be his first appearance since the Raw Netflix debut which aired from Intuit Dome on January 6. Johnson addressed the crowd in his appearance last month, he also acknowledged “The OTC” and placed the ancestral Ula Fala necklace around Roman Reigns‘ neck after his victory over Solo Sikoa in the Tribal Combat match.

Ahead of The Final Boss’ return tonight here are five things that he can do tonight on the Blue Brand at the Smoothie King Center.

5. Address his WWE future

Since transitioning to Hollywood, The Final Boss has been mostly making erratic appearances in the WWE. With a busy schedule, he barely makes time for a few appearances. However, in his return, Johnson might announce his plans for regular appearances or a match at the upcoming PLE.

4. Reignite his feud with Cody Rhodes

Johnson was involved in a feud with the current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes last year but this feud was put on hold due to his absence. Johnson in his Raw Netflix appearance hashed this feud to many fans’ surprise. There is a likelihood of Johnson reigniting the feud and revealing his plans to face Rhodes at WrestleMania 41.

3. Announce WrestleMania 42 venue

According to a report from WrestleVotes Radio, WWE is set to officially announce the 2026 edition of WrestleMania as taking place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, LA, before this year’s event. The report further adds that the venue has been confirmed for months.

The Final Boss in his return might make this electrifying announcement confirming the reports of the 42nd edition’s venue on tonight’s show of SmackDown.

2. Align with Solo Sikoa

Since losing the tribal combat match Solo Sikoa has been having problems which picked up more steam when he accidentally took out Tama Tonga while brawling with Cody Rhodes. Johnson in his return could align with Sikoa and convince Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga to once again join forces with Sikoa.

1. Call out Roman Reigns

The mere thought of a clash between Johnson and ‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns makes fans excited. While there have been teases and rumors the clash never materialized, but in his return the Final Boss might call out Reigns for a clash of the ages at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
