Three times Charlotte Flair went off script in WWE

‘The Queen’ Charlotte Flair is one of the most accomplished stars not just in the women’s division but the entire WWE, she is a 14-time WWE World Champion. Her recent return at the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble saw her make history as the only woman to win two Royal Rumble matches.

Flair has been in some very personal and heated feuds in her WWE career, while things stay cordial in the build-up, there have been instances of segments going off script, much to the delight of fans. Here we will take a look at three such instances where Charlotte Flair went off-script in the Stamfrod-based promotion.

3. Singles clash against Nia Jax (August 30, 2021 – RAW)

On the August 30, 2021, episode of Monday Night Raw, Charlotte Flair battled Nia Jax in a singles match. While Flair has never been accused of being unprofessional inside the squared ring, her match with Jax in 2021 was one such instance as the two stars started throwing down real strikes in what looked like a heated exchange.

However, Jax has since clarified that it was simply a misunderstanding, but she did confirm that a communication breakdown led to tensions escalating more than usual.

2. The title exchange with Becky Lynch (October 22, 2021- SmackDown)

Flair’s unpredictability took center stage during a segment of the October 22, 2021 episode of SmackDown involving Becky Lynch and Sonya Deville. Flair and Lynch were the champions of Raw and SmackDown, respectively, but were swapped to the opposite brands during the draft. As a result, the promotion decided on the awkward solution of having them exchange titles in a segment.

The segment was on the backdrop of real-life tensions between the two stars, which was displayed on live TV as Flair dropped the title on the mat instead of handing it to Lynch as planned, leading to an unscripted exchange of frustrations between Lynch and then WWE official Sonya Deville with Flair.

Flair has claimed that she didn’t intend to drop the title, while Lynch admitted that their relationship had soured at that time. However, it seems they’ve since made up.

1. Face-to-face with Tiffany Stratton (April 04, 2025 – SmackDown)

Call it recency bias, but this segment is one of the reasons we decided to write this article which is why it sits on the top of the list. Ahead of their title clash at WrestleMania 41 PLE, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair engaged in a segment moderated by Wade Barrett.

However, what was supposed to be a segment involving a heated exchange turned into a war of words where both reportedly went off script and started throwing personal jabs at each other. While Tiffany brought up Flair’s recent divorce, mentioning her ‘0-3 record’ in reference to her marriages. Flair fired back, suggesting that Stratton’s boyfriend, Ludwig Kaiser was sliding into her DMs.

The two stars will now settle their differences inside the Allegiant Stadium at the WrestleMania 41 PLE and the segment might have made things personal between them.
