Top five non-titled WWE WrestleMania main events of all time

WrestleMania is the longest-running and greatest annual professional wrestling event, hosted by WWE. The Show of Shows is like the festival, which showcases some of the best matches featuring big stars. Main eventing WrestleMania is a dream for every professional wrestler around the world.
The main event spot is usually the selling point of the show and it has been usually reserved for the World title matches. However, some of the way bigger non-title matches had main evented the show. Here we take a look at the top five non-titled WWE WrestleMania main event matches of all time.
5. The Undertaker vs Roman Reigns
The Undertaker faced Roman Reigns in a No Holds Barred match in the main event of WrestleMania 33. The Taker vs Reigns match main evented the show over the Bray Wyatt vs Randy Orton match for the WWE Championship, as Orton was the one who won the Royal Rumble match that year.
The main event was however focused on making Roman Reigns one of the biggest stars of the company and made The Undertaker lose his match to Roman Reigns by making the WrestleMania record 23-2.

4. The Undertaker vs AJ Styles
The Undertaker faced AJ Styles in a cinematic Boneyard Match in the main event of WrestleMania 36 Night 1. The match took place in a boneyard, as a horror cinematic themed match showcasing supernatural powers.
The Undertaker buried AJ Styles (Kayfabe) to the ground and won the match. This is the last match of The Phenom in WWE, however it didn’t take place inside the ring.
3. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Kevin Owens
At Night 1 of WrestleMania 38, Kevin Owens invited Stone Cold Steve Austin to The KO Show, however it turned out to be an impromptu match in the main event.
It was the first time Stone Cold had stepped foot inside the ring for a fight after almost two decades. The RattleSnake won the match after a chair strike backfired on Owens. Austin celebrated his victory with a number of beers.
2. The Rock vs John Cena
WrestleMania 28 is one of the most successful pay-per-views of all time, which made history by becoming the highest grossing PPV’s of the industry. The main reason for the major success is the main event match between John Cena & The Rock.
The match was billed as a once in a lifetime moment and it delivered a great reception from the fans. WWE cooked the rivalry for years and made it happen. They had a great fight for more than thirty minutes and Rock picked the win in a dramatic way.

1. The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels
The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels main event match billed as “The Streak vs Career” at WrestleMania 26 is the most iconic and best WrestleMania main event of all time. This is a WrestleMania 25 rematch but with a No Disqualification Stipulation, defending the streak & career.
The match was so close where Michaels took Taker to the limit with a lot of near falls. During the final stage, Undertaker asked Michaels to stay down, but Michaels taunted Taker’s cut-throat and slapped him. Taker delivered a jumping Tombstone Piledriver and ended Michaels career with an 18-0 streak.
