This week’s SmackDown emanates from Kansas City.

The June 19 edition of Friday Night SmackDown will air live from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The show will feature the Undisputed title rematch, where Cody Rhodes takes on Gunther, with Sami Zayn serving as the special guest referee.

Furthermore, the second semi-final of the 2026 Queen of the Ring tournament will be contested between Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan, while Carmelo Hayes and Ricky Saints will battle in a number-one contenders’ match for the United States title.

Additionally, R-Truth and Damian Priest will defend their WWE Tag Team titles against the MFTs (Tama Tonga & Talla Tonga). Let us take a look at the top four storylines that are likely to unravel on this week’s WWE SmackDown.

4. Queen of the Ring semi-finals

The second semi-final of the 2026 Queen of the Ring tournament will be contested on this week’s show of the Blue brand. Iyo Sky has already qualified for the finals after defeating Raquel Rodriguez on this week’s Raw.

Now, Charlotte Flair and Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan battle to secure the final spot. Morgan is looking to capture the second World title to become a double Champion, while Flair is looking to regain the top spot.

3. U.S. title match

Last week’s segment involving the United States Champion Trick Williams, Ricky Saints, and Carmelo Hayes ended in a brawl where Williams laid out both challengers. Hayes and Saints are now set to battle in a number-one-contender’s match.

The winner of the match will get a chance to battle Williams for the title at Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Fans are now waiting to see who walks out this Friday as the number-one-contender.

2. Tiffany Stratton vs Jade Cargill

Last week, Jade Cargill interfered in the tag team match, helping B-Fab and Michin pick up a win against Chelsea Green and Tiffany Stratton. After the match, Stratton tried to attack Jade, but fell prey to the numbers game.

Cargill laid out Stratton and then eyed the Women’s US title, making her intentions clear. It will be interesting to see how Stratton responds to this threat, especially when she is massively outnumbered.

1. Undisputed title rematch

Cody Rhodes will once again defend the title against Gunther in a rematch from Clash in Italy. However, this time around, the odds are stacked against Cody as Smai Zayn will serve as the special guest referee, at a time when the friendship between the two is going through a rough patch, to put it mildly.

Rhodes‘ title reign might come to a close this Friday, and on the other hand, he might walk out unscathed and with the title. It remains to be seen how Zayn reacts and if he holds any grudge against Cody and decides to screw over the golden boy.
