Roman Reigns retained the title at Clash in Italy.

World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns outlasted Jacob Fatu in the rematch at Clash in Italy last weekend. Reigns at the first PLE in Italy managed to defeat Faut in the Tribal Combat match, retaining the title and the title of the Tribal Chief.

With the win, Reigns once again proved his seat at the top of the Bloodline, and with the loss, Fatu had no option but to acknowledge Reigns. The addition of Fatu has resurrected a dominant force in the Bloodline, if Reigns decides to do so.

While there is no clarity on the Bloodline front, or even if he will feud with Solo Sikoa and his MFTs as teased after the main event of Clash in Italy, WWE is considering two possible options for Reigns in the future.

Oba Femi & Seth Rollins are being discussed as future opponents

According to a report from Ibou of Self Made Pro, WWE’s long-term plans for Roman Reigns involve two options: Oba Femi and Seth Rollins. Ibou noted that he was informed one of the matches is currently planned for SummerSlam, while the other is being considered for WrestleMania 43.

He also added that the plans for Mania could change if Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson decides to wrestle at the 43rd edition of WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia.

“Look, Roman is going to work Oba Femi and Seth Rollins. And I was told one match is going to be at SummerSlam. The other one is going to be at WrestleMania. Unless Dwayne Johnson decides to wrestle at Saudi.”

Furthermore, Ibou added that the plans for SummerSlam 2026 remain fluid and that the current plan is for Seth Rollins to win the King of the Ring tournament and face Reigns at SummerSlam. Rollins will partake in the first round match next week on Raw.

If Rollins wins the King of the Ring tournament, Ibou speculated that WWE will likely pivot to a rubber match for Oba Femi against Brock Lesnar.

“There’s a lot of moving parts. There’s a lot up in the air right now for SummerSlam. What they told me was, right now, the plan is for Seth Rollins to win the tournament and face Roman Reigns.

So that’s what I was told. If that happens, that would mean that Oba Femi probably gets Brock Lesnar, I’m guessing, at SummerSlam.”

Earlier reports have revealed that WWE is planning a rubber match, where Femi will pick up the win to conclude the feud at 2-1. Another win over Brock will definitely make Femi a formidable opponent to face Reigns at Mania. WWE already teased a feud between the two after Femi called out Reigns during the Mania 42 post-show.

That said, the involvement of The Rock will likely alter all plans. For now, Rollins seems to be the favorite to win the King of the Ring Tournament and challenge Roman at SummerSlam.

What are WWE’s plans for Roman Reigns after Clash in Italy?

Per Ibou of Self Made, WWE’s long-term plans for Roman Reigns involve two options: Oba Femi and Seth Rollins. One of the matches is currently planned for SummerSlam, while the other is being considered for WrestleMania 43. However, the plans could change if The Rock decides to wrestle at Mania.

When and where will SummerSlam 2026 take place?

SummerSlam will take place as a two-night spectacle Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, 2026, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota
