The 17-time World Champion is set to retire on December 13.

The 17-time WWE World Champion John Cena is ready to cap off his illustrious career that spans over two decades. Cena embarked on his retirement tour in January and will now hang up his wrestling boots in December.

Cena is set to retire at the December 13 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, which will emanate from the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The G.O.A.T. of pro wrestling began his retirement tour during Raw’s Netflix premiere in January, where he fulfilled his mission of surpassing Ric Flair by becoming a 17-time WWE World Champion.

He turned heel for the first time in his career at Elimination Chamber but eventually reverted to a babyface role by SummerSlam, as fans refused to boo him during his final run despite the heel character.

As he begins his final run, the ‘Last Time Is Now’ Tournament has kicked off, featuring 16 top names from Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and even competitors from outside WWE. The tournament began on Raw on November 10 in Boston.

The first round matches of the tournament have concluded, with eight stars advancing to the quarterfinals. The eight stars will now battle in four matches to secure a spot in the semi-finals.
