The Beast Incarnate made his return during Night 2 of the PLE!

‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar was absent from WWE programming for a long time, and despite major speculations from fans there were no signs of his return.

However, it all changed after the main event of Night 2 of SummerSlam 2025, where the Beast made his earth-shattering return, taking the WWE Universe by surprise. Night 2 edition of the show took place on Sunday, August 3, and emanated live from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Lesnar returned after the main event, where Cody Rhodes defeated John Cena to regain the Undisputed WWE title in a street fight. Cody and Cena embraced after the hard-fought match, and the crowd erupted in thanking Cena.

After Cody left, Cena acknowledged the crowd in the final SummerSlam of his career. However, it all changed when Brock Lesnar’s music hit and the Beast Incarnate made his earth-shattering return to everyone’s surprise.

The Beast Incarnate stepped into the ring, and Cena tried to attack but failed as Lesnar laid out Cena with a vicious F5, similar to the way he did at SummerSlam 2021.

Lesnar rolled out of the ring, picked up his hat, and left to end the 2025 edition of SummerSlam on a high note, leaving fans speechless.

Brock Lesnar’s last WWE appearance came during the 2023 edition of SummerSlam.

Lesnar was away from the squared ring since SummerSlam 2023, where he suffered defeat at the hands of Cody Rhodes. The 2023 edition of the PLE took place on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.

Lesnar was scheduled to make his return at this year’s Royal Rumble PLE as a participant in the men’s Royal Rumble match. However, he was removed from the event due to a lawsuit filed by a former WWE employee, Janel Grant.

The former WWE and UFC Champion was first indirectly mentioned, and later explicitly named, in the lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE, a development that triggered significant consequences. Lesnar was replaced by Bron Breakker for the 2024 Royal Rumble. He was later removed from WWE’s creative plans for WrestleMania XL.

Lesnar’s highly unexpected return has sent fans into a frenzy, and many are waiting to see his next move. The Beast Incarnate re-igniting his feud with Cena might not have been on the fans’ bingo card but they will now get see the beast inside the squared circle again.
