Sky and Ripley teamed up in the beginning to batter Naomi, but the alliance soon fell when the battle raged. Ripley once again was snubbed off the win by Naomi as she delivered a massive Riptide to Iyo from the second rope, Naomi swopped in to roll up Ripley for a cover and retained the title.

Valkyria fought back while her hands were tied and managed to free herself. In the final moments, Lynch went to attack Lyra with a metal crowbar, but Bayley appeared to halt the offense and attacked Becky, who sent her crashing over the barricade.

The match continued inside the ring as Bayley once again came out with a steel chain wrapped in her hands to attack Lynch, who ducked, causing Bayley to take out Lyra instead. Becky capitalized on the opportunity to pin Valkyria and retain the title.

Solo Sikoa (c) vs Jacob Fatu – Steel Cage match for the United States title

With unfinished business, United States Champion Solo Sikoa put the United States title on the line against Jacob Fatu in a steel cage match. Sikoa took control early, bouncing Fatu off the cage but the Samoan Werewolf retaliated and was on his way to regain the title when Solo’s  MFTs (JC Mateo, Talla Tonga, and Tanga Loa) interfered.

Jimmy Uso rushed in to make the save but fell prey to Talla’s big boot, who then handcuffed Fatu on the cage as Solo tried to escape the cage via the door held by Mateo. Fatu broke the handcuff off the cage and went on to attack Solo, but Talla booted the door in his face, helping Solo, who escaped the cage, to win the match.

In the co-main event of the show, Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio battled AJ Styles in a match originally scheduled for Night of Champions. Both men paid homage to the late great Eddie Guerrero with several trademark moves.

In the final moments of the match, Domink unzipped his boots, which helped him when Styles locked in the calf crusher. The boot slid off, and Mysterio got out to blast Styles with the boot, followed by a frog splash to pin the Phenomenal One and retain the title.

John Cena (c) vs Cody Rhodes – Street Fight for the Undisputed WWE Championship

Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena battled Cody Rhodes in the main event of his last SummerSlam. The title rematch from WrestleMania delivered with both men utilizing weapons early. The match had multiple close pin attempts and multiple finishers by both men.

The fight even spilled out into the crowd, where Cena emerged from the elevator shaft used during Cody’s entrance to deliver the AA on the entrance ramp. Rhodes took back control of the match back in the ring but failed to pin the Champion despite throwing him through a table and delivering the Cross Rhodes.

Irked by the kick-outs, Cody removed the lower turnbuckle and started attacking Cena with it. The Champion countered with a STF on the third attempt, using the ropes to his advantage. The momentum swung both ways until Rhodes reversed an avalanche AA through a table, to hit a high-impact Cody Cutter, and sealed the victory with two final Cross Rhodes.

Cody left after embracing Cena, who acknowledged the crowd, but it all changed when Brock Lesnar’s music hit. The Beast Incarnate returned, taking out Cena with a vicious F5, similar to the way he did at SummerSlam 2021.
