CM Punk might have some big news to announce on the upcoming edition of SmackDown.

CM Punk has managed to keep himself relevant amidst being injured since the 2024 Royal Rumble PLE. Since that time, The Best in the World has been engaged in multiple roles on WWE television programming. However, the most intriguing part of Punk’s presence was his heated feud with the man who injured him, Drew McIntyre.

With his appearance announced in his hometown, it will surely pull a huge crowd who all have been anticipating his next move ever since his actions at WWE Clash at the Castle.

CM Punk might return fit and fine.

Witnessing recent actions, it could be assumed that CM Punk could drop some bombshells of his own. Following his comments on the WWE Clash at the Castle post-show conference, Punk could potentially reveal that he would be cleared for in-ring action before the Biggest Party of the Summer, WWE SummerSlam.

Moreover, a recent report by Fightful Select stated that Punk would not be cleared for the next WWE PLE, i.e Money in the Bank, but would be ready to go for SummerSlam.

Punk potentially announcing his medical clearance could lead to him acknowledging Drew McIntyre’s departure. Poking fun at his arch-rival like he has been doing for months,

The Best in the World could invite Drew to reconsider, come back to WWE and answer his challenge for a highly anticipated showdown at WWE SummerSlam. The upcoming SmackDown could set the stage for the Punk McIntyre one-on-one showdown, with their heated feud culminating in Cleveland, Ohio.
