What happened when Roman Reigns & Jey Uso last shared the ring at WWE SummerSlam?

‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns made his return on the July 14 episode of WWE Raw to aid Jey Uso and settle the score with Paul Heyman. Since his return, Reigns has made an offer to Jey Uso to join him in battling the team of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed at the 2025 edition of SummerSlam.

While the two former Bloodline members are standing united against Paul Heyman’s enforcers ahead of SummerSlam 2025, the scenario was very different the last time they shared the ring at the PLE.

Reigns and Uso last shared the ring at SummerSlam in 2023, but both stars were in the opposite corner as Jey was battling Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. A title which Reigns held on for 1316 days, ultimately dropping it against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40.

The seeds of the feud were planted when Jey began to distance himself from the Bloodline, which was led by Reigns. The feud reached new heights at Money in the Bank 2023, where Jey pinned Roman in a tag match, handing Roman’s first Raw pinfall loss since 2019.

The culmination of the feud came during the 2023 edition of SummerSlam, where Jey Uso was looking to pin the Tribal Chief and win his first singles title. However, a betrayal at the hands of Jimmy Uso, who pulled Jey out of a finishing pinfall, ultimately led to Reigns picking up the win.

The reunion at Crown Jewel 2024

Ahead of the Crown Jewel 2025, Jey and Reigns united for the first time alongside Jimmy Uso to take on Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline. This was the first time since SummerSlam 2023 that Jey and Reigns shared the ring.

After their failed campaign at Crown Jewel, Reigns and the Usos teamed up with CM Punk and Sami Zayn and were successful in defeating Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline in a WarGames match at Survivor Series 2024.
