The Visionary is set to battle Gunther at WrestleMania.

General Manager Adam Pearce, during the March 30 edition of Raw at MSG, announced that Seth Rollins is medically cleared to compete. After the announcement, Rollins launched an attack on Paul Heyman. This was another in a string of attacks since his return from injury at Elimination Chamber.

However, out of nowhere, Rollins was pulled from the ring by ‘The Ring General’ Gunther, who then locked in the sleeper hold and pointed to the WrestleMania sign. Following the attack, Pearce made the match official between Rollins and Gunther for WrestleMania 42.

On the April 6 edition of Raw in Houston, Rollins addressed the attack and was once again ambushed by Gunther, leading to a brawl. However, Rollins also said something during his promo that caught the attention of fans.

During the promo, Seth Rollins said that he had two missions following his return: first, to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship, a title he never lost, and second, to “kill the Vision.”

Rollins suffered a shoulder injury during his men’s Crown Jewel title match against Cody Rhodes and had to relinquish the World Heavyweight title due to the attack.

The title is currently held by Rollins’ arch-rival, CM Punk, and Rollins might be teasing another potential showdown with Punk, likely after WrestleMania 42.

After Crown Jewel, Seth Rollins was viciously attacked by his own stablemate, Bron Breakker, who turned on him. Soon after, another stablemate, Bronson Reed, followed suit and also attacked Rollins. Even Paul Heyman didn’t show any remorse and quickly got behind Breakker, showcasing once again opportunistic behavior.

In Rollins’ absence, Logan Paul and Austin Theory were added to the faction. However, Rollins is now hell-bent on destroying the Vision, a faction that he himself laid the foundation for alongside Heyman.

Since his return, Rollins has targeted Theory and Logan, while terrorizing Heyman, so much so that he had to pull up a restraining order against him.

During the promo, Rollins also mentioned the Vision members currently tied up, referencing Logan and Theory dealing with the Samoans, and Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed being out, leaving Heyman with no one to defend him. He added that this was why Heyman had put Brock Lesnar on a silver platter for Oba Femi.

These comments hint at Rollins dealing with Gunther in Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed’s absence and will likely get back to the feud once at least Breakker, who is now medically cleared, returns.

Original plans for Mania were for Rollins and Bron to collide, but WWE decided not to fast-track a showdown between him and Rollins at WrestleMania 42.

Instead, the promotion plans to take a more patient approach, allowing their feud to develop gradually on television before eventually leading to a match at a later time.
