Roman Reigns has been away from WWE for a very long time.

Roman Reigns is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. He has been in WWE since 2013 and has achieved great heights in the company. He is a nine-time champion in the company, including six World Championship wins. Furthermore, he is the 28th Triple Crown Champion and the 9th Grand Slam Champion under the current format.

Roman holds a number of records in WWE, including the fourth-longest reign for the World title, most WrestleMania main events, and much more. With a great legacy with WWE, Roman has been away from television for a very long time. When did he last appear in WWE?

Roman Reigns’ last WWE appearance

Roman Reigns last appeared on WWE Television at WrestleMania XL Night 2, where he defended his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes in the Bloodline Rules match. The match witnessed the involvement of a number of WWE Stars and veterans including Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa, John Cena, The Rock, Seth Rollins & The Undertaker, where they countered each other.

In the final moments of the match Cody Rhodes countered Roman’s spear into three Cross Rhodes to defeat Roman Reigns and end his historical 1316 days reign. That was the last time Roman was seen on WWE TV.

When the whole world was focused on Cody Rhodes’ celebration, Roman was seen walking to the backstage with a disbelief along with The Rock & the rest of The Bloodline.

Although Roman Reigns was blamed to be a part timer, he worked throughout the WrestleMania 40 weekend. He was on Monday Night Raw with The Bloodline to showcase a preview. He was on WWE hall of Fame Class of 2024 to induct his Wiseman, Paul Heyman into the Hall of Fame. Wrestled WrestleMania XL Night 1 teaming up with The Rock and took Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins in a tag team match.

Roman was not seen then on WWE TV. Roman was advertised to participate in the WWE Draft 2024, but his Wiseman Paul Heyman withdrew him from the Draft pool, stating that his return will not be seen in the near future.

Roman Reigns’ Hollywood Project

Despite his absence from WWE, Roman was caught filming in a “Heist Comedy” Hollywood project with Eddie Murphy, Keke Palmer, and Pete Davidson. The picture of Roman went viral on the internet, where Roman Reigns was sitting in a throne surrounded by girls and Keke Palmer was standing behind Reigns with a championship title.
