Roman Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa in a ‘Tribal combat’ match

‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns reclaimed the Ula Fala after defeating Solo Sikoa in the tribal combat match at the Intuit Dome on January 6. The two stars locked horns in the debut episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix.

Family and legacy were on the line for the clash as both Titans clashed to determine the ‘real’ tribal chief. The Rock presented the Ula Fala to the “Real Tribal Chief” and embraced Reigns congratulating him for the victory.

Here we take a look at three ways Reigns can move forward following the win against Sikoa in the debut episode this week.

3. Enter the Royal Rumble

Reigns lost the Undisputed WWE title at the hands of Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. This loss shattered his 1316 days dominant title reign and even cost him the Ula Fala when Sikoa stole it and turned on him.

The OTC has already restored order and reclaimed the Ula Fala now he will likely shift his focus on reclaiming the title. In order to reclaim the title, Reigns will likely challenge the champion, Cody Rhodes.

However, with such a stacked division and Rhodes’ scheduled defense at Royal Rumble PLE, it is highly unlikely that Roman will get his wish. The best path for a title shot for the OTC is entering and winning the 30-man Royal Rumble match to get a shot against Rhodes at WrestleMania 41.

Reigns’ last appearance in the 30-man Royal Rumble was during the Royal Rumble 2020 PLE which was held at the Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas, USA.

2. Feud with CM Punk

‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk returned in November after a two-month hiatus and joined Roman Reigns and the OG Bloodline for the men’s WarGames clash against Survivor Series 2024 PLE. Punk made it clear that he joined the faction because of Paul Heyman.

After winning the clash, Punk stated in Heyman’s ears that he owed him a favor which kicked off speculations. During the WarGames clash, the rivalry and rift between Reigns and Punk was on full display, the moments went uber-viral on social media.

It will be interesting to see if the favor comes into play in the upcoming weeks and if a feud between Punk and Reigns begins for the services of the Wiseman. Reigns and Punk have a long history of working together and against each other since the Shield days and a feud between the two would be a highlight for fans.

1. Re-establish his dominance as Tribal Chief

Following his win in the debut episode, Roman Reigns has now firmly established that he is the real tribal chief. The OTC winning the power struggle means now he is at the helm of the Bloodline and will ask its members for their allegiance.

Reigns will look to re-establish his dominance among the Bloodline members which has faded since his loss at WrestleMania and the fall of the OG Bloodline. Roman will likely ask the Usos, Sami Zayn as well as the new Bloodline members to acknowledge their tribal chief.
