After making her return last year, former WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee began a rivalry with Becky Lynch. The two faced off twice, first at Wrestlepalooza in a mixed tag team match, and later as opponents in the Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series.
Due to AJ’s part-time schedule, she was absent from WWE programming until the February 9 episode of Raw, where she made her return and baited Lynch into accepting a title match.
Lynch is now set to defend her Women’s Intercontinental title against Leee at the 2026 edition of Elimination Chamber in Chicago on February 28.
In her promo this past Monday, AJ noted that the upcoming bout will be her first singles match in over a decade, raising the question: when did her last singles match in WWE actually take place?

While AJ Lee did make her in-ring return at Wrestlepalooza last year, this was a mixed-tag team match as mentioned, with her second appearance being a WarGames match. However, when it comes to singles action, Lee hasn’t been in one since 2015.
AJ’s last singles action came during the March 16, 2015, episode of Monday Night Raw, which emanated from the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.
Lee took on Nikki Bella in the aforementioned match. Bella pinned AJ after delivering the Rack Attack. On the other hand, when it comes to AJ’s last singles win, we have to look back to the March 9, 2015 episode of Raw, where Lee defeated Summer Rae.
The 16th Elimination Chamber event will air live from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Along with AJ appearing on the PLE in her hometown, World Heavyweight Champion and AJ’s husband, CM Punk, is also scheduled to defend his title in a rematch against Finn Balor.
In addition, the PLE will also feature the two men’s and women’s Chamber matches, with the winner securing the WrestleMania spot against the World Champion, remaining after the Royal Rumble announce their picks.
