Multiple legends have captured prestigious titles in the WWE!
Throughout the years, there have been a number of legends and icons who have held the prestigious titles in the Stamford-based promotion. However, there have been some who have separated themselves from the rest, creating records and achieving unique milestones.
When it comes to capturing the World titles, the ‘Greatest of All Time’ John Cena tops the list as he recently broke the tie with Ric Flair to become the one and only 17-time WWE World Champion. Ric Flair is second on the list as he has 16 World titles to his name.
Triple H and Randy Orton trail behind the two in the third spot with 14 titles. On the other hand, Charlotte Flair tops the list among women Superstars with fourteen titles, while Becky Lynch is in the second spot with seven titles, followed closely by Sasha Banks (Mercedes Mone) with six titles.
However, when it comes to most overall title wins in WWE, R-Truth tops this list as he has won 60 titles during his time in the Stamford-based promotion.
Truth has captured the United States title, the WWF Hardcore title, and the World Tag Team titles twice during his run with the promotion. He has captured the World Tag Team Championship twice, once alongside Kofi Kingston and once with The Miz.
Although these numbers seem very far away from the total number of 60 title wins, until we take a look at Truth’s 24/7 Championship wins. Truth has held the 24/7 title a total of 54 times, bringing the total number to 60.
Truth last held the title in June 2022; the 24/7 title is currently inactive and was last held by Nikki Cross in November 2022. In a backstage segment on the November 7, 2022, episode of Raw, Nikki Cross threw the belt away as if it were trash, effectively deactivating the title.
Truth recently announced his departure from the WWE, the news was met with a lot of criticism from fans who made their voices heard, chanting “WE WANT TRUTH” during the June 3 episode of Raw in Tulsa. Fellow stars also paid tribute to the veteran, sharing stories and celebrating Truth’s legacy.
