Liv Morgan returned on the May 26 episode of Raw!

Following recent setbacks and having his authority undermined, Finn Balor has decided to take drastic steps to regain control of the Judgment Day. In Liv Morgan’s absence, Balor introduced Roxanne Perez to the faction, despite Raquel Rodriguez’s opposition.

This begs the question: Why is Balor intentionally trying to sabotage and cause a rift in the Judgment Day faction, which currently consists of him along with Dominik Mysterio, Carlito, JD McDonagh, and the Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez?

The series of betrayals is nothing new for the faction as Balor last year, rallied the faction behind him to oust Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest from the faction as the two started to exert unprecedented control over the group while being on top of their respective divisions, with the World titles.

The faction ousted the two stars, as Balor wanted to check Ripley and Priest’s power while making sure that the group doesn’t blindly follow one leader and work together for each other’s success. However, he effectively wanted to be in control even though there was no one leading the group.

Finn Balor wants to win the power struggle inside the Judgment Day

Balor introducing Roxanne Perez in the faction and Perez cozying up with Dominik was sure to irk Liv Morgan, which happened as planned by Finn, as Morgan made her return on the May 26 episode of Raw and saw Mysterio snuggling up with Perez.

While Morgan wanted to deal with the situation later and focus on getting a qualifying match for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, the fiasco soon followed. Morgan battled Kairi Sane in her return match. However, she lost the match as Perez, who tried to help her along with Raquel Rodriguez, ended up costing her the match as Sane pinned Liv to win the match.

After the match in a backstage segment, while Rodriguez tried to tell Morgan that Perez was the reason for her loss, Liv fired back, pointing out that she was the veteran and should have known better. In the background of all this drama, Finn Balor was seen chuckling and enjoying the tensions.

Balor has been wanting to take control of the group since losing the World Tag titles, which undermined his authority as Morgan slowly took over, striking down Balor’s orders and convincing Mysterio to go against Balor and think about his own benefit.

Mysterio pinning Balor in the fatal four-way match to win the Intercontinental title at WWE WrestleMania 41, and then Balor not being in the loop about JD McDonagh’s return was the final blow as he then plotted the clever plan to undermine Morgan during her absence and cause a rift between Mysterio and Liv using Roxanne.

However, there are chances of this firing back at Balor himself as Liv will likely not react kindly to the situation, and if Finn succeeds in his plans, we might witness Liv suffer the same fate as Rhea Ripley. The only difference Roxanne will be in Morgan’s place.

It would be interesting to see how this storyline unfolds and if Finn Balor succeeds in taking control of the Judgment Day! What, in your opinion, will happen in this power struggle? Voice your opinions in the comments section.
