Roxanne Perez has yet to win a singles title on the main roster.

Money in the Bank has always been one of the key PLEs on WWE’s calendar, giving them a chance to have a potential contender for nearly a year. Pick the right Superstar, give them the briefcase, and suddenly a wrestler who was chasing opportunities becomes someone every champion has to watch.

The 2026 Money in the Bank event will also have a similar impact, as the PLE will take place in the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, on October 10. Here are strong reasons for Roxanne Perez to clinch the ultimate prize.

Roxanne Perez should lift the 2026 Women’s Money in the Bank briefcase

On paper, Perez is not the most obvious choice. The field includes former WWE World Champion and MITB winner Tiffany Stratton, Women’s United States Champion Jacy Jayne, Lash Legend, Sol Ruca, and Lola Vice.

Yet if WWE is looking for the competitor who combines experience, youth, history, and long-term upside, Perez arguably checks more boxes than anyone else.

But out of the ‘younger’ roster, Perez already has a résumé that many wrestlers spend years building. She had been WWE NXT champion for nearly 385 days, spread across two different regimes, and was also the first-ever Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge winner. These numbers speak volumes for the 24-year-old wrestler.

Moreover, Perez is the only performer with previous Money in the Bank experience. She can turn the chaos to her advantage, and it’s clearly understandable for the fan base.

Winning Money in the Bank is not simply about creating a popular moment. The eventual winner has to carry the pressure of possessing a guaranteed championship opportunity. Perez has already experienced what it is like to be the centerpiece of a women’s division.

Her 2026 story needs a turning point

There is also an argument to be made from Perez’s recent form — and strangely, that argument may actually make her victory more compelling.

Perez has not enjoyed the smoothest 2026. Perez has an opportunity to turn a disappointing run into the biggest breakthrough of her main-roster career. And WWE has already provided the perfect first chapter.

The briefcase could solve WWE’s biggest problem with Perez

Perhaps the strongest reason to pick Perez is what happens after the ladder match. WWE does not need another briefcase winner who cashes in simply because the opportunity exists. Perez could turn the contract into a genuine character story.

She could spend months teasing a cash-in, manipulating champions, creating paranoia within the women’s division, and using The Judgment Day connection to make every appearance feel unpredictable.

That is the beauty of Perez as a Money in the Bank winner. She does not need to cash in the next night. And when the moment finally arrives, WWE can make her first main-roster world championship opportunity feel enormous.

The 2026 women’s field is packed with potential, but Perez has the combination of championship experience, ladder-match experience, elite endurance, and unfinished business that makes her the most intriguing choice.
