WWE brought the action to Hawaii.

In a recent interview, Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns has made it clear that he does not see a regular schedule of WWE house shows as necessary at this stage of his career. On Club Shay Shay, the OTC explained that the company’s lucrative television-rights agreements have changed the business model, making frequent non-televised appearances less attractive for top stars.

The Stamford-based promotion also limited such non-televised house matches in 2025, but the situation is different now. Looking to expand its reach and connect with fans, WWE once again invested in Live shows and social media, along with many video streaming sites offering a sneak peek at wrestlers’ activities during these ‘off days’.

Recent posts attracted much attention from the fan base, as a number of WWE Stars were in action in Hawaii. Here is why WWE travelled to Hawaii and what made the weekend significant.

For WWE, this time around, their tour took place from October 16-17, 2026, at the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena, Honolulu. This marked their return after four years, since they held their last show in Hawaii on September 22, 2019. WWE also held tryouts for young recruits during the trip.

Apart from the fact that this was a chance for WWE to hold two more tours, the house shows are also a way for them to connect with viewers who do not watch their TV shows or premium live events. It is also an avenue for wrestlers to be more flexible and connect with fans outside of the rigidity of a weekly TV show.

The wrestlers who participated in the tour included multiple big names, including Oba Femi, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Jacob Fatu, Je’Von Evans, Liv Morgan, Stephanie Vaquer, Joe Hendry, Bayley, Bron Breakker, and Sol Ruca, among others.

Key stars and matches from the Hawaii Live Tour

The biggest talking point from the opening night was Oba Femi defeating Bronson Reed in the main event. Femi’s victory came after The Vision became involved, and LA Knight and Penta helped fend off the interference. The result further showcased Femi’s growing standing as one of WWE‘s major attractions.

Also, there was an update on Stephanie Vaquer’s injury, who faced Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship. Although Morgan retained the title, Vaquer’s return was encouraging news for fans concerned about Vaquer’s availability. Joe Hendry also returned to action as he defeated Rusev in the latter’s first match in months.

Other notable matches included Sol Ruca defeating IYO SKY, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria in a four-way contest, while Raquel Rodriguez retained the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Nia Jax. Chad Gable also successfully defended the Intercontinental Championship against Je’Von Evans and Ethan Page.

Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee defeated JD McDonagh and Big Cass. LA Knight and Penta also challenged World Tag Team Champions Bron Breakker and Austin Theory, winning by disqualification without capturing the titles. A brutal faceoff was between the Usos and members of 946 (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price).

This carried into night two, where Oba Femi, alongside LA Knight and Penta, took down The Vision in a six-man tag team main event. Bron Breakker even escaped a horrific injury in this match. Liv Morgan held onto the Women’s World Championship in a four-way matchup with Stephanie Vaquer, Sol Ruca, and IYO SKY, and Bayley beat Lyra Valkyria in a street fight match.

In the end, the trip to Hawaii meant much more than filling up two nights’ worth of programming. It gave them an opportunity to connect with their underserved market, show off some of their other talent, and find the future stars that will represent the company. In the process of building a television-driven business and also conducting live shows, these sorts of trips prove integral to maintaining connections with their fanbase.

Who participated in WWE’s recent live event from Hawaii?

The recent back-to-back live events in Honolulu, Hawaii featured many superstars including Oba Femi, Bron Breakker, LA Knight, Bronson Reed, Liv Morgan, The Usos, Bayley, IYO SKY, Liv Morgan, and Roxanne Perez, among others were part of these events.

When and where will the upcoming WWE Raw take place?

The October 19 edition of Monday Night Raw takes place tonight at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California.
