Bron Breakker has been absent from programming due to injury.
During this week’s WWE Raw in Madison Square Garden, General Manager Adam Pearce informed Paul Heyman that the Boston PD had dropped all charges against Rollins, who was arrested last week for violating the restraining order.
The GM also announced that Rollins was medically cleared to compete. What followed was another brutal attack by Rollins, nailing Heyman with a chair shot, before setting him up for a stomp. While fans were waiting to see Breakker return and aid Heyman as before the show, PWInsider reported that Bron Breakker was backstage on Raw.
However, instead of Breakker, ‘The Ring General’ Gunther appeared ring-side, pulling Rollins out of the ring and locking in the sleeper hold, putting him to sleep.
The Ring General then pointed to the WrestleMania sign to end the segment. Later in the show, GM Pearce provided an update on Rollins’ condition and made the match between Rollins and the Ring General official for WrestleMania 42.

Gunther vs Seth Rollins was in the works for several weeks
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful’s Raw Review, the match was put together due to the injuries to their original opponents. Gunther was set to face Rey Mysterio, while Rollins was poised to battle Breakker, both of whom are sidelined due to injury.
“What we’re seeing is the adjustment for Rey Mysterio being sidelined with an injury, which was Gunther’s plan, and Bron Breakker, despite being backstage, still being sidelined, and that was Seth Rollins’s plan. So, you put them together, and there you go,” Sapp said.
On the other hand, Wrestling Observer Radio reported that Gunther vs Rollins was in the works for several weeks. The attack was done to set up the match. Dave Meltzer also clarified that Breakker’s status was not the driving force behind the match.
Amid the uncertainty regarding Breakker’s status, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter clarified that Breakker has received clearance from the medical team to compete.
