WWE recently changed the date for Money in the Bank 2026.
Initially planned for Sunday, September 6, the 2026 edition of Money in the Bank was moved to the next month. The PLE is now set for Saturday, October 10, still at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana
WWE announced the change recently, just a few hours before the June 8 edition of WWE RAW in Paris, France, via a press release and later on social media.
“WWE, in conjunction with the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and Legends Global, today announced that Money in the Bank will now take place Saturday, October 10 — one month later than originally announced — at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.” the release stated.
WWE rescheduled the PLE due to a scheduling matter
A few hours after the announcement, a backstage report from Fightful Select revealed the reason behind the rescheduling of the Money in the Bank 2026.
According to Fightful, WWE sources indicated that the decision to move the PLE was related to a scheduling matter involving the company’s broadcast partners. The report added that the date change had been in the works for more than a month and was known internally by a handful within WWE.
“WWE sources claimed to @FightfulSelect that the Money in the Bank date change was made because of a scheduling matter with broadcast partners. The move has been planned for well over a month, and known by several within the company.”
What’s in store for WWE after Clash in Italy?
After the conclusion of Clash in Italy in Turin, Italy, WWE is now preparing for the 2026 edition of Night of Champions. The show is set for June 27, 2026, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The show will be followed by NXT Great American Bash on June 28, the PLE of the developmental brand, and Saturday Night’s Main Event XLV, which is set for July 18 in MSG, New York. All that leads to summer’s biggest party, SummerSlam, which is set for August 1 & 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
