‘The Role Model’ Bayley has been absent from WWE Programming since her match against Lyra Valkyria on the July 18 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event at Madison Square Garden. The reports about her contract expiration and multiple teases have led many fans to believe she might be AEW-bound.
Fans and pundits alike have also speculated that the Role Model has been mentioned several times on episodes of Monday Night Raw since her match with Valkyria, which likely would not have been the case if she were going to leave the company.
Amid massive confusion over her WWE status, a new exchange has led many fans to believe that Bayley might return to WWE television as soon as tonight’s edition of Monday Night Raw in Ottawa.

The speculation among fans about Bayley’s return on Raw tonight arose after an exchange between her and Raw General Manager Adam Pearce on Instagram. Pearce reacted to the Role Model’s IG post, which celebrated her 10-year anniversary on the main roster
Bayley reacted to the post, commenting, “hey let’s talk,” and GM Pearce shortly after with, “You know where to find me.” This response has sparked speculation of her return on Raw tonight, as these exchanges in pro wrestling often lead to an on-screen development.
The Role Model is a massive fan-favorite, and WWE fans in Ottawa will welcome her back with open arms and loud cheers. The return will also put all the rumors and speculation to rest; conversely, if she remains absent from WWE, the AEW rumors will continue to grow.
Notably, per PWInsider, the Role Model was backstage at TNA Lockdown in Chicago this past Sunday to support Elayna Black (fka Cora Jade in WWE).
What else is in store for Raw in Ottawa?
WWE will take over the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada for the August 24 edition of WWE Raw this Monday. Notably, the show will have a special start time compared to usual.
The show will begin at 6 PM ET / 11:00 PM BST / 3:30 AM IST (Tuesday) / 6:00 AM CST (Tuesday) on Netflix (excluding select markets), as WWE will pre-tape an episode of SmackDown after the show.
A contract signing between Bron Breakker and Oba Femi for SNME is announced for the show, and so is a singles clash between Stephanie Vaquer and Roxanne Perez.
Additionally, the semi-finals of the World Heavyweight Title #1 Contender’s Tournament will also take place on the Red Brand.
